Thoughts in Numbers
Jochen Lutz
Hello, dear readers!
I hope that you all had spent a wonderful Christmas and that you are not going to ignore the partying occasion today! I know that many players are on a vacation somewhere or just use their time to be with their families and closest friends, but still - even a few people will be enough to give opinion on the topic and approve or disapprove by reason of their own thoughts.
The events I focus on in this article are already in the past, but those recent occurrences made me reconsider my view about the game's perspectives in eNorway. First of all, we all had spotted the sheer number of election presentations and publications in the press. Then an object of interest for me became the limited number of the electors - 81. I would not speak about the results, which could be seen by everybody clearly enough on the eRepublik statistics or in another, more competently written article. My wish is only to express my disappointment about the lack of active players.
I do not want to complain, but I had always believed that at least a few hundred people play for Norway. I understand that not everybody votes, some are absent, some do not want to and some do not have the required experience. Those results are not a census, nor a suitable thing for this time of the year. Even if I go along with that and even if I double the numbers shown in the results the picture is if not tragic, at least sad...
I fight in the First Division and often there aren't any young Norwegians fighting in the battles. Every Society Builder medal would mean a 10 % increase of the population, it seems too much to me. And the Media Medal, whose holder would need 1000 subscribers perhaps seems to be only a dream in a country with ca. 100 active players. Is it proper to have congressmen, elected with 2 or 3 votes? Is it save when only a few foreign accounts could ruin the whole state? I do not blame, I am just confused and a little bit scared...
I already get the point of our greatest problem - the lack of incomers. This is the root of every single disadvantage or weakness of eNorway. My question is (without any sort of offence) - What is to be done to change this? What are we doing about this issue? What has already been done? And last but not least - was it always like this? Were we strong, once upon a time?...
Thanks for reading and I am waiting to see your comments! And do not take it as a depression, I am just asking about it. Well, of course, vote and subscribe, even if I have to wait long for that medal... 🙂
Have a happy new year!
Those are useful articles, that were helpful and interesting for me and which I highly recommen😛

eNorway was once the strongest and largest nation in eRepublik, but as the number of challenges and probably the quality of the game decreased, so did the amount of eNorwegians. This was years ago, so I don't remember any of it as I started playing nearly two years ago. Since then we've just done what we can to stay alive, which has been quite a challenge sometimes. Right now I've ressurected the babyboom campaign, which is independent and unsupported by the government, and we aim for a boost of at least 200 new players : )
ja de eide findland og russland...
You can get at least Media Mogul. hehe. And in fact Society Builder depends only on you. But I admit it is hard - I still don't have it!
Things change in erepublik from times to times. Our country was stronger and weaker in some occasions.
You can read about old Norwegian history in erepublik on these articles of my newspaper:

I hope these articles give you some elucidation about Norway's History.
I also highly recommend you to read articles from some other experienced players and also check this timeline: http://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/History_of_Norway
Article from beta showing Norway as one of the two strongest nations. Competed by Sweden:

This is quite interesting, we actually had a PTO with almost one hundred foreign players invading Norway and created chaos from within. This is when we really showed our strength, everyone worked together to face this threat. I followed our struggle in my newspaper at the time. All the way from the beginning to our victory. I have linked to the first article if you are interested.

Thank you for your explanations! I appreciate your help and I will work on. Best regards and have a nice party tonight!
Hi, check out this site for active players: http://egov4you.info/
active fighters is a good indication of active players.
And yes its sad. We are one of the weakest countries in this game. We was big once we had open boarders.
