The South Korea Crisis in eGermany

Day 901, 07:36 Published in Hungary Hungary by Yasmin D'Ahara

What happened?

Short after the elections the discussions about a Japanese attack of South Korea started. First they were only a few people thinking about it, but then the Minister of Foreign Affairs started a thread in the congress part of the eGerman forum to discuss a MPP. But then was suddenly ig an MPP proposed by South Korea, without any arrangement between the governments. Noone really knows, whether the Koreans have paid the 100 Gold or not.

Then the president of eGermany recommended in his article, to vote 'No' to this MPP, but didn't tell a real reason why not. But not the whole government did this, Machtgeil, at this time vice-president of Germany (now replaced with highter), invited in his article to vote Yes.

In the end, the MPP was accepted with 19 to 18 votes.

The results of the South Korea Crisis

Although all three countries involved in this crisis (Japan, Germany, South Korea) aren't big ones and there damage isn't very high, this decision leaded to several actings. First,m the former vice.president Machtgeil was fired and replaced with higter. Also the president Letnix left his party PPD (center-right, liberterian) to join the OMG (no real political orientation) and run for party president of this party. Also he wrote two articels (first; second), in which he attacked the left parties, especially the KPeD (the party of former vice-president Machtgeil), and his former party PPD, because this party would not support him properly.

But also the fights between the different political camps break out again. On the one side the supporter of a strong government and a congress with as few rights as possible (often calles 'Gobbaisten' because of the German player Gobba, former president of Germany, who thinks it is the best to distrust the congress because he can tell secrets to the enemy or could be PTOed😉, on the other side the supporter of strong and relatively good informed congress (no real name, because this political camp wasn't very strong in the past, but now it get more an more supportes; in one article called 'Anti-Gobbaisten'). Till now, this fight is mostly located on the German IRC-channel and in comments to articles, but it is expected, that this fight will soon influence also the politic, in the congress as well as in the relationships between congress and government.

The lost of reputation in other countries, especially in this of the PHÖNIX-alliance, can not be estimated at the moment.

*PTO: Political Take Over ist a situation called, where a hostile force smuggle in one people in another organisation or political office (e.g. congress, party, country-president), to get control of this.
