The Best eUS Newspaper Tournament – The Qualifying Round Continues!

It seems there is a bit of confusion about how to enter you newspaper in this tournament, and confusion about other things about this tournament (which is partly my fault, I did not explain it very clearly in my last article.) So, this article will have all of the basic information you need to know.



First, I would like to point out that THIS IS ONLY THE QUALIFYING ROUND. To advance to the elimination rounds, your newspaper must be one of the top 16 newspapers with the most votes. When somebody fills out this form with your newspaper’s name and link, that is a vote. Anybody can vote for your newspaper, even if you have not even seen this tournament. Also, YOU CAN VOTE FOR YOUR OWN NEWSPAPER.

If you want to do well in this tournament, the best way is to encourage your readers (in an article) to vote for you, and provide a link to this paper and/or the voting form. You can vote until Day 965 (Monday) 23:59 eRepublik time.

LEAVING A COMMENT WITH YOUR NEWSPAPER LINK WILL NOT ENTER YOU IN THE CONTEST, DOES NOT COUNT AS A VOTE, AND WILL DO ABSOLUTLY NOTHING OTHER THAN POSSIBLY MABYE ENCOURAGE SOMEONE ELSE TO CLICK ON THAT LINK AND VOTE FOR YOUR PAPER USING THE PROPER FORM.

I am posting the current Tally of Qualifying Votes here. It is important to get a many as possible, because those with the fewest votes will end up facing those with the high number of votes in the eliminations rounds. However, don't count yourself out if you only have a few - there is still plenty of time for votes and you can still triumph if you gather enough support in the elimination voting. Also remember that ties will be broken by number of subs, and that only the top 16 will make it to elimination rounds.

Also, there was one instance of cheating in which someone (most likely the author) used the names of other citizens (mostly dead) to vote for a certain newspaper. More information on this tommorrow.
