Join the new world

Hello eAmerica:

This is the moment many of us eAmericans have been waiting for. Back in October of 2008, current Conservative Party President Desertfalcon was elected into his PP position. Come 8 months later, Desertfalcon is stepping down so that new leadership may be able to carry the CVP to newer and more extended heights. We must acknowledge the great work Desertfalcon had done as PP. With his leadership, the CVP was able to gain nearly 500 members, many of whom were quite active. But now as time goes on and players begin slacking off, new forms of leadership and motivation will be needed to help re-establish the activity and support this party has had in the past. I hope that voting for Mattoze5 for CVP Party President will be your answer, as many of you hoped it would back in April. I believe that this last month used to prepare has really humbled me to the position, and more than ever before, I can say that I am ready. It is going to take more than myself to make it happen though. I will need a strong Council behind me and all parties out there to work with us, rather than against us.

There are many things we have accomplished, and many things the CVP council still hopes to accomplish. This last month was a great success with the Primary Elections, we had a 13% total turnout from the entire party 😃 And I'm hoping that with the new Party Whip, Hekter, this number will continue to grow even bigger, especially with our new mailing list. If you are a CVP member, make sure to keep an eye out for this upcoming Primary which will be starting soon. There is also a new special "background" project being worked on that will hopefully help to centralize all CVP information 😉 We hope to gain some seats in Congress this June 25th. Work is already being done to help plan for these elections so that those who wish to run an honest race and work actively in Congress will have a fair chance in this election. Our party's greatest hope is for this July 5th Presidential election. It has been a long time since a person from what was the original Republican Party has become president, and our hopes are now higher than they ever were before that we may have that chance, this time 😃

As for upcoming events: This Monday at 9:00 PM CST there will be a party/celebration on IRC channel #cvp3 as stated in Desertfalcon’s last official article here http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/the-cvp-the-next-5-days-and-ptos-826876/1/20. I encourage as many people as possible to come, there will be music (taking requests) and other surprises 😉 I hope to encourage as many people as possible to come to this event and possibly join our party. As it seems that this game is becoming too overly serious, we’d like to show how the CVP can prove this wrong, so please attend. We are going to attempt at bringing fun back into this game. It’s not all going to be just business 😉 I once responded to a pm that asked me what advantages the CVP has to offer to young new players and old veterans and here is how I responde😛 The advantage of being in the CVP is that it is one of the most active parties, and yet everyone has a place. Even new players have [will have 😉] opportunities at leadership granted their participation, activity, and devotion. Veterans who show that they are willing to cooperate and aid in ways that inexperienced players can't, will be given just as much of a role to play. Basically your benefit to joining the CVP is that, no matter how young, old, or insignificant you are, you will always have a voice. That is why I always say, "It is always the person behind the keyboard who counts."---And that last line is what will hopefully change the CVP into the greatest party in Erepublik.
