The Joseon Plot

Day 1,079, 17:16 Published in South Korea France by Yonai Keiko
Remember, remember the fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason, why gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.

On November 5th, 2010, Day 1081 of the New World I will be faced with a choice. A choice as to whom should lead my nation for the month to follow. My single vote will be cast amongst over a hundred of my fellow eKoreans. And on November 6th we shall find ourselves with a newly elected President of the Republic of Korea. As things stand, four candidates are vying for the opportunity to be our new leader. In my humble opinion, only two of these candidates are actual serious contenders, so I would ask the other two to excuse me for ignoring their candidacies.

With support from the Singan Association, the Korean Independence Party, and the Socialist Party of eSouth Korea, our current President Grease is running for a third term in office. Grease and I have had our differences in the past few days mainly centering over one rather prominent issue. The Romanians. Grease supports the group of 'former' eRomanians in their 'integration' in the country. I have opposed this group which I believe to be a blatant PTO attempt. Obviously, the fact that the two parties supporting Grease, aside from the one that he himself leads, happen to be controlled by those Romanians has not escaped me. And to any of those who doubt that these Romanians do not hold their allegiance to our nation above all else, and are thus Koreans, I do quote from the Fortele Speciale Romane's military protocol.

"Nici un soldat FSR nu are voie să lupte împotriva României indiferent dacă este luptă directă sau RW"

This sentence of such importance translates roughly to, "No FSR soldier is allowed to fight Romania in either direct battle or RW." All of the Romanians currently present in this nation are members of the FSR, as evident from their friends lists and donations records. All of these Romanians would without hesitation defy their allegiance to Korea to defend their homeland. To deny the words so clearly written in their military protocol would be ludicrous and foolish. These men are PTOers and they hold a mutually supportive relationship with Grease. I refuse to vote for a man (or a cat for that matter) who would ally himself with these dangerous threats to our nation's sovereignty and independence.

On the other side of the political arena is Sirius Padfoot Black, supported by the Revolutionary Counterweight Party and the Solar Temple. That, unlike Grease, Sirius has actually bothered to campaign and present to the nation his ideas and hopes for a Korea under his leadership speaks enormously to his credit. He has shown more transparency in his one article than Grease has shown in the entire past month. I have talked to a great extent with Sirius and I know for a fact that such transparency will not end when he takes office. I expect, if elected, that Sirius will reach the list of Korea's greatest presidents with ease.

Of course, my word may not be much in the grand scheme of things. But if you doubt my promises and his own, perhaps a few more names added to his ever growing list of supporters would help convince you.

Veritas Causidus - Former President of Korea, Longtime Congressman and Member of Government.
JaFe - Long time Congressman, Prominent Businessman, Narwhal Military Expert
Khorne the Blood God - Formed Top Five Korean Political Party, Prominent Politician
Wladimir Rascian - Former Congressman, Longtime Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador, Advisor
Phantom_lynk - Former Longtime Congressman of Germany
Athasnim - Former Speaker of Congress, Former Longtime Congressman, Senior Community Member
Mark Wharlberg - Former Longtime Congressman of Germany, Former Chairman of German General Information Commission, German Ambassador to America
Rangeley - Former Austrian Congressman, President, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Longtime Liaison to Korea
Yonai Keiko - Former President, Longtime Congresswoman for Korea, Japan, and Austria, Queen of Korea, Longtime Government Member, Ambassador, Austrian Minister of Defence, ATO Organizer, President-in-Exile, Eighth Citizen of Korea following October 2008 Liberation Wars

A good deal of others have thrown their support behind Sirius, but as I can not confirm these endorsements, I shall leave them off. As it stands, these nine citizens hold an enormous deal of political, diplomatic, and economic experience. Surely to gain such support, Sirius must have some good qualities!

Countless men and women died on the day that originally made November 5th famous. They died attempting to exercise their right to change a government that was not functioning to the benefit of its citizenry. Those men and women of the Gunpowder Plot took their right too far and attempted to use force to uproot their unfaithful government. This November 5th, I hope that my fellow eKoreans will turn the date from one of violence to one of peaceful protest, and democratically uproot the current unfaithful government of Korea and replace it with one who will support the citizenry of Korean to the very end, rather than succumbing to the wishes of foreign masters.

Remember, remember the fifth of November
Independence, freedom, and clarity
I see no reason, why such liberty
Should ever be forgot.
