And So It Begins...
There are already a few US Soldiers in Congress.
We are not totally without representation.
But it's not enough. We cannot be satisfied. We cannot be complacent.
We cannot accept the random chance of numbers of pro-Military votes on Budget matters.
We must be sure.

A Stark Reality
There has been such an exodus from eRepublik that the population drop has translated to an income drop for the government, and the next budget must include huge cuts.
We got lucky, in a way, thanks to the delay in the release of the War Module. The Budget was due to be reset for the next two months-- right now-- but has been set aside on a week-to-week basis pending receipt of some stable economic data with all aspects of the game running. Before the radical decision to hold the budget as it is for now, the cuts being discussed were, to say the least, scary as shit.
As a former Army Quartermaster General (before the split, when the Army was over 300 in number) I handled the weekly Congressional allotment coming in and throughout the week. I know how it feels to struggle and juggle and "do yer best with what'cha got" to try to provide weapons as fast as they get used up. And remember, when we're rockin', there's real battles every day.. good for the economy, good for morale, good for America.. burnin' through guns like friggin' water.
And that was in V1. This is a whole 'nother world in V2. Now weapons come, not only in varying degrees of power and accuracy but also number of uses. A Civilian can make a decision to buy a reasonably priced weapon, become dissatisfied with it and either suffer through having their ass handed to them in ten or twenty fights or donate the damned thing to Guns For Huns. A Military buyer can't do that with 300 Rifles and Tanks and Roflcopters.
A Military buyer wants the most powerful and most accurate guns, "durability" or number of uses is preferred to be less to allow flexibility in purchasing. Just for starters, the "durability" factor-- not buying single-use weapons like in V1-- makes the initial purchase much more costly than it used to be. Maybe it averages out over time, but each purchase will be huge and costly because it's multi-use instead of single-use.
A Military buyer is making the decision that will determine the outcome of several battles, no matter what battlefield strategy is employed or how well it's executed.
A Military buyer cannot have his hands tied by massive cuts to his weekly allotment.
Maybe it'll all smooth out in time, but shall we lose a lot of battles in the meantime because we've inhibited our Military's ability to win?

Are you that one, crying and complaining? Or are you doing all you can to help out?
So WTF Is Your Friggin' tl;dr Point, Custer?!
We're all in the same boat. If we're not working with each other, we're working against each other. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.
