A Follow Up to My Admin Rant
For those of you don’t know, yesterday I went off on the admins out of frustration for the fact that they announced their plans to change the health/happiness formula. Over the past week I had been working furiously on a new set of calculators and a new article analyzing health and happiness in eRepublik V2. After I had put so much work into something I felt like I was justifiably angry and had little desire to continue playing a game that penalizes me for working to improve the overall player experience. Well after taking a day to relax and further enjoy the summer, my anger has subsided (even though I still believe the admins are horrible).
So in conclusion, I will push forward and once again live with a failed quit of the game. Yea, I’m going back on what I said but do you know what?...I’m not running for President of the eUS so I don’t see a particular need to be a reliable character in this game. I am a writer at this point and I intend to write quality articles to help the players of this game. It is writing my paper by which I will be dependable, don’t expect anything else. With that said expect me to have updated calculators and new additions in my “So You Wanted a V2 Noob Guide?” series in the near future!

Where Has the eUS Media Gone?
Background
As you will see in the references section below, LexLuthor’s article is currently the fifth most voted article in the eUS media at the moment. I was surprised to see that the other articles aren’t that far ahead of that and it led me to ask, “when has the eUS media ever had so few votes?” I can’t think of a time when you ever needed so few votes to get a top 5 article. Is it V2, just apart of the trend in declining population, or something else? I want to hear all your thoughts.

Glad to see you're sticking around Tep. In regards to the Media, I know the votes for the Top 5 sometimes fluctuates and they've been low before, but I don't remember them being this low.

War drives the economy as well as the media. Normally the top 5 has a DoD order article as well as a Sossu article. Without war these articles don't exist which leads to less votes in the top 5. Without war it is difficult to write real good stuff. Once war breaks out people begin to read the media more and will vote up articles that have to do with battles as well as ones that don't. In addition, the eUSA is decreasing in size at an alarming rate which can also explain the low vote counts. Hope that answers your question and welcome back. 🙂
