Stefan1992 Running for Parliament in London

Day 1,191, 23:24 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Stefan1992

Hello people of London,

We have made it to yet another Congress Election. This election will be unique compared to others due to the situation with the Serbia deal. I’m sure this will lead to some exciting and frustrating developments as the election day folds out. Anyway, I will be running for a 22nd term in the never dull region of London and I hope I can count on your vote.

Experience

• Member of Parliament (x21)
• Party President of the Unity Party (x3)
• Minister of Communications (x3)
• Minister of Home Affairs (x1)
• Minister of Foreign Affairs (x1)

Having been on eRepublik for over two years, the full list of my experience is too long to write, so I have only mentioned the most important positions I have held. I am currently the Party President of the Unity Party, but during my times as Minister, I am always welcome to non-partisan talks and co-operation between all parties.

Goals

As you may know, the Foreign Affairs department has been kept busy with the latest chain of events in which two new alliances have formed. This restructuring is also a reshuffling, as the previous alliances do not reflect the new ones in regards to membership. Recent talks have been taking place, and the results of what our path is will unfold during the next term of Parliament. This is why it is important to maintain strong friendships and diplomacy with other countries. As a current diplomat to the Americas, I’m staying on top of the latest developments. But it is our duty in Parliament to lead this country in the right direction, and I will reinforce that with whatever our future holds in regards to alliances.

Diplomacy in Action.

Communication with people like you is important. As my constituents, it is my role to represent you. I do receive many messages each day, but no matter how much mail I have, I go through it all, responding to the questions, concerns or comments that are raised. Another way to raise awareness of what is going on is to promote the activity through the eUK Forums and IRC. I recommend that all active citizens take a part in this to fulfill your civic duties. I am your representative in Parliament, but you can directly voice your opinion on the forums and IRC. I do my best to keep people aware of these options that surround them.

This is beginning to sound generic, but the following goal is one of the most, if not the most important task of a Member of Parliament. That is to maintain a perfect voting record and contribute in discussions. These are the two primary functions for MPs, and it can also be used as an indicator for how well each person is performing. In my 21 months in Parliament, I have not missed a single vote. The record speaks for itself, and I will continue to hold that record.

Conclusion

To recap my goals, I will:

• Promote diplomacy and do what is best for our country in international affairs.
• Communicate with constituents and promote activity of eUK Forums and IRC.
• Maintain perfect voting record and contribute to legislative discussions.

Thank you for reading this manifesto. I hope I can count on your vote on the 25th of February.
