State of the Libertarian Party

Day 510, 08:16 Published in USA USA by HeadmistressTalia

I want to take this moment to talk to you about the state of the Libertarian party. On paper we look great: we have 756 members and are the second highest ranked party in the eUS. In fact, we’re ranked 6th in the whole world.

But when you look at practical numbers you’ll be disappointe😛 we have 11% of congress which puts us dead last. It makes you wonder if the Libertarian are a party in name only.

That was what I was thinking when I announced my candidacy for party president. And since then? Exciting things have happened.

What exactly has changed? Well, some Libertarians have stepped up to the plate and have begun energizing the party again. We actually have posts on the Libertarian forums (http://eusforum.com/index.php?board=22.0). We have established an organization to get things done. And we’re doing it!

So at this time I’d like to introduce you to some important people who are actively working on making us a vibrant party again:

Our congressional whips, who are tasked with helping get more Libertarians electe😛
Fin Cooper Green

Our Recruitment Chair, who is responsible for encouraging people to join our part:
K_Swoosh

And our Ninja Turtles Squadron (why not have fun with names?), who are busily improving our wiki entry:
Chisholm
Julius Rodvio
Publius

Thank you to all the great volunteers who want to improve our party. I hope to seem many more Libertarians get active and return us to a vibrant, living party.
