Some ideas for Erepublik (2)

A lot of players are complaining. Why ? Because peace is boring...

But unlike other players who think the only solution is starting a new war, I think there should be more things to do on peace times. I already writed about some of my ideas, in a previous article and I said there should be more options to develop your country (like building Airports, Powerplants,etc).

Now I come with some new ideas:


1. Minigames

So, just imagine for exemple, there is an option "Erepublik Casino". You can play casino games with other players from Erepublik... just so... or using gold too. This way you will be able to do something with your gold and will be fun too. No war ? Let's play Blackjack for gold!

Also an "Erepublik Lottery" option. Yes, I know there are lots of "lotteries" and contests made by players but their succes is not that big. I'm talking about a global lottery where everyone from Erepublik can play and anyone can win. Also everyone will be sure that this lottery won't cheat. And the prize can be huge...

Also there can be a top of players who won most gold in Casino, and every month, the best 10 (for exemple) can get a new type of medal: "Casino Master" ... or something.


2. Treaties

In real life, treaties help countries to mantain peace but that is something we don't really want in a game (I guess). So I think countries should not be allowed to sign more than 3 MPPs. When a country has 15 MPPs, you don't really want to attack it... so no war. And you should be able to invade a country, as an alliance. So this is the exemple:

Country A is allied with the following countries: B, C and D;
Country W is allied with the following countries: X, Y, Z.

Country A decides to invade country W but doesn't want to invade it alone. So it can propose a law that must be voted by congressmans in all the countries from the alliance (A, B, C, D) to attack as an alliance. So instead of declaring war alone, all 4 countries will declare war and in the end it will be 4 vs 4 not 1 vs 4. So yes, you won't have to invade alone a country that has MPPs... this will create more wars.


3. Random resources

Resources are not infinite... and new resources can be found too (in RL).

I propose this - the medium and high resources should be there just for a while

> Medium resource: 1 month
> High resource: 3 months

So land companies will be cheaper because when the resource is depleted, you will have to destroy the company. The "price" to make a land company can be 5 gold for exemple. And there should be limited "space" to make land companies (because with such low price, everyone will want one) like:

> Medium resource: max 30 companies;
> High resource: max 100 companies.

What I mean is this:

Exemple: Region X has High Iron. This resource can support max 100 Iron companies in that region (the first 100). After 3 months, the resource is depleted and it will disappear. The iron companies will be destroyed in 5 days after this.

But when a resource disappears from a region, it will randomly appear in another region, from any country. Imagine your country doesn't have any resource and one day you randomly get one... this will make wars interesting and all the regions will become important, not just some that have fixed resources like now.

This will give the chance to players who never had a company, to have one that will make profit too.


4. Random ideas


> party presidents should be able to send "circular message" to all party members;
> medal for elected party president (not for the first party president)
> search option at "Rankings"; so you can find a certain player, etc


All the numbers are just for exemple.
