Resource Wars: The Conclusion

Remember my Resource Wars update a couple weeks back when we had not yet gotten a single resource?

At the time I mentioned I was confident we would turn things around. We had a distinct advantage over most the eWorld because of our geography. It would be next to impossible to lock us out of the Very Rare and Rare categories simply because of our size and remoteness.

You don’t know how relieved it feels to be right. Even though you believe what you are saying, you want to see it happen.

We are the only country to get all 4 Very Rare’s in each resource.

As you can see from this graph below plagiarized from this article. https://www.erepublik.com/en/article/resource-wars-analysis-2-2-2600147/1/20 (read it & vote it)

We now rank 3rd in the world in production. Imagine that? I knew we had done well but I had no idea we had done that well.

The best decision I made to make this happen?

Offering to work with Serbia on resources. They did an amazing job for us. On our last resource Romania was also helping, both countries had commanders and soldiers that stayed up until 6:00 AM their time getting us the Neodymium.

I just want to share what I saw because it was an amazing piece of work and these are skills and strategies we will never likely see or need again. We had 5 campaigns up.

Remember you are juggling 5 campaigns and 20 division and you are getting different point levels from each campaign depending on what time the battle is at.

We were winning some division and losing others. Imagine trying to keep track of this in real time?

Well somehow we manage to time this thing down to less than a minute with just 40 points to go. We took it to the second. It was freaking amazing. Talk about close timing. Anyone who has played with the math and tried to manipulate the points would truly appreciate this incredible job.

It will be nice to go back to, “what is the score?” again, though.

What is happening going forward?

As we had agreed from the beginning of Resource Wars we will be working and sharing resources with Serbia. The premise of the deal is Canada will not be worse off in bonus’s by renting to Serbia then we would be on our own or there is just no point doing it.

Based on the formula as announced and Serbia’s own assets we have accomplished this.

Serbia will control weapons and housing. We will still get the same bonus levels as we would have on our own. Food will remain in our direct control.

Remember we would not have gotten these resources in the first place if not for Serbia, so this is a win, win for both sides. The resources are not going anywhere.

Neodymium is a special case. I never actually expected to get it as it was the last one and was highly sought after.

There is no point having one resource except as a rental. We will actually get the renting countries, country bonus coming back to us so this is a no brainer. As Romania was instrumental in getting Neodymium for us in the first place we have agreed to rent it to them.

For those of you who were wondering why we painted such a large target on ourselves with our success, there was a reason we did not just pick fish.

Both rentals come with a fully guaranteed protection pact. Canada’s cores are now protected by the combined might of Serbia and Romania.

Conclusion:

Special thanks to our training war partners throughout the event. Albania, Ireland, UAE, Portugal and Serbia.

Portugal’s points were gold as they have such incredible control over the battlefield. Nothing is more useful in calculating points and timing then the consistency Portugal showed on the battlefield.

I would also like to thank our own citizens who did not panic after the first few weeks when we were not getting anything and whom continued to put their trust with our leadership team.

Thank you all.

Yours respectfully

Exalted Druid.
