Reintroducing Myself to Switzerland

Day 1,023, 13:26 Published in Switzerland Switzerland by Lynari

A while ago I’d decided not to write introduction articles anymore. This is an occasion, however! I’m returning to eRepublik after months of inactivity. The game has changed dramatically, and I’m still figuring it out.

Why have I chosen to begin my new journey in Switzerland? It’s hard to say. Switzerland is one of two countries, the other being Austria, where I feel as though I have good friends around me. The time I spent in Switzerland was during the Shaolin occupation, and let me say, I left Switzerland mostly because of my frustration with them. I’ll tell you a little story; I was Party President of the Swiss Liberal Party for a time, just after Eleriel left it in my hands. It was immediately before he would have needed to be reelected, so I ran, got voted in, and then tried to organize the congressional elections and prevent Shaolins from taking too many seats. I personally received an overwhelming plurality, but the unnecessary surplus prevented other SLP candidates from taking seats. Because of that failure, I didn’t seek reelection as Party President of the SLP, and in fact, I decided to leave the nation when my tenure ended.

Before coming to Switzerland, I was an Austrian, serving in the offices of President, Minister of Justice, Foreign Affairs, etc, etc – if you care to see a full list of my titles, my wiki is here. After Switzerland, I lived in Singapore. I didn’t do much in the way of politics while there, but it was the first time I ever owned and operated a company! I found it very exciting.

What are my goals now? I haven’t a clue. Perhaps I’ll go inactive soon, or maybe I’ll stay here a while and then go visit Austria. For now I’m just going to get accustomed to the interface and write the occasional article.
