Made a new banner myself. Any good? 😛

Hello and welcome back to Population statistics. This is the first time in a while I’ve written for two weeks in a row so you might expect less fluctuations in the numbers.

Votes and Comments are always welcome. Subscribe if you’re new here! If you want to be really awesome you should shout this article out. 😃

If you vote AND comment you get entered into a prize draw (bottom of my article) and can win 1g. It’s not much but it’s all I can afford and gives you one more reason to read these things. 😛

For new readers of my article

I have gathered the latest figures on the population. I try to post a new article every other Sunday with updated stats and identifying a best performer and worst performer.

One more note. If someone wants to use the images or just translate this whole article then you have my permission…however please put a link to track back to this original article. 😃

Baby Boom watch

This is a new section of my article. Over the last few days I have been looking at the “New registered citizen” numbers of some of the biggest countries to see where a baby boom is evident. This week I have picked out 5 countries I believe to be having baby booms.

Macedonia – 1191 new citizens today
Bulgaria – 1008 new citizens today
USA – 645 new citizens today
Turkey – 557 new citizens today
Greece – 437 new citizens today

These figures are actually very interesting. Four of the five countries here are right next to each other on the map and are currently involved in a massive war that I will explain in a bit more detail later. The data suggests that the Natural enemy option added by the admin has become a very effective tool to gain a baby boom.

The other country on the list is USA. Usually this very large country maintains a 100-200 new citizens a day average but this week they’ve increased a little bit and today it’s gone to 645. USA have had baby booms in the past and once were #1 most populated just over a year ago if I remember correctly. If the USA wants to get the best out of the situation they need to make sure they are in contact with their citizens asap to try and keep retention rates up. :3

Roundup of the week’s events

Slovenia/Italy War

Earlier this week the Slovenia/Italy war continued. Slovenia had already moved Serbia into Central Europe which was one of the main objectives; but now Slovenia is continuing to invade Italy. Last week’s Winner moved into Italy to try and take a fruit region which was one of the resources they lacked. Despite many EDEN MPPs for the Italians; Slovenia managed to easily beat them. They have continued on south into the country whilst also freeing up some of the Austrian regions along with the German region that Italy have held for a few months. As of right now Slovenia are within striking distance of two more resources they do not have. Oil and Saltpeter. It is expected that they will add these resources to their collection soon.

Turkey + Macedonia/Bulgaria War

Things have started to heat up in the southern Balkan area. We’ve always had a rivalry between Greece and Turkey but now the Natural enemy option has been used to great effect to bring in two new wars. Bulgaria vs Turkey and Macedonia vs Bulgaria. Currently it looks like even though Phoenix is now longer an alliance it will be a Bulgaria with EDEN MPPs versus a Turkey and Macedonia with Phoenix MPPs. Never gets old does it. These wars have had some positive effects for baby booms for the countries involved (read above). Overall the results of the battles have been pretty even. Bulgaria has gained one Turkish region (which is one of the reasons for the big increase of citizens this week) but it looks as if they will lose this region fairly soon as turkey is hitting back hard. Only time will tell who will win this battle but I think Bulgaria will struggle to cope with two separate attacks from two very strong countries.

Russia/Ukraine war

A long time ago Russia was considered a superpower full of rich resources. It’s funny how things change. This week Russia invaded Ukraine to take some of their regions so that they could increase their food/weapon bonuses. So far Russia have been winning pretty easily whilst EDEN are focussing on the Balkans. A few more wins could bring Russia to Romania and a few regions away from Bulgaria. Once again only time will tell what Russia will do next and I’m sure that the super alliance changes will affect their plans.

Other stuff

France have made peace with Canada and Poland. In the Canada war neither country was making any progress so both decided a ceasefire was adequate. Poland’s peace was a bit controversial as it came as a compromise of giving Poland the resource they lacked; rubber.

Hungary/Romania and Serbia/Croatia continue their little skirmishes with nothing really happening per usual.

Serbia helped Austria break free from the Italians and have agreed to rent a deer region from them for 100g a month. This gives Serbia an extra resource whilst giving them a stronghold in Europe whilst giving Austria the chance to sign 1 MPP.

Big thanks to Keram10 once again who’s MoFA articles are very informative. Please go read the latest article and vote it up. http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-ukgov-times-are-changing-wars-are-raging-1629399/1/20

Winner

The winner this week is Bulgaria. As stated above they declared war to Turkey via Natural enemy. Although they have now got to deal with Macedonia (who NE’d them) they have managed to take one Turkish region so far. Another reason why I’ve chosen Bulgaria to be the Winners this week is because they have gained a fair amount of new citizens via a babyboom as a result of the war. As stated above over 1000 citizens from the last 24 hours alone. That is amazing for a country that was on 6,000 citizens last week. Looking at the stats Bulgaria has gained 6065 citizens this week moving them up an incredible 8 places to 5th. This has given them an amazing 100.81% growth rate. Congrats Bulgaria for being the winner this week.

Loser

The Loser this week is Turkey. There haven’t been many major battles this week so I decided that I had to choose a winner and loser from the same war. As they lost a region (which had 4.5k citizens in) I have chosen turkey to be the loser this week. At the moment however it looks as if Turkey will regain this region so I wish them luck on that. Looking at the stats Turkey lost 3629 citizens moving them down 3 places to be 6th. They are the only country to lose over 1000 citizens this week. This has led them to have a contraction of 24.45% this week. Unlucky Turkey; good luck in your war with Bulgaria. 🙂

Graphs

These graphs show the data in the table above in a format easier for the eyes.

Other Notes

- 4 Countries are currently not on the map. Peru is welcomed back to the map but Czech Republik joins the 0 population club.

- Indonesia has rejoined the 10000 citizens “club” whilst hungary drops out down to 9782. :3

- United Kingdom overall gained ONE citizen this week. xD – good job Ministry of Recruitment!

- Bulgaria, Macedonia and USA gained over 1000 citizens this week.

- Because of Bulgaria; Turkey was the only country to lose over 1000 citizens this week.

- Erepublik had a turnaround this week gaining 6501 citizens (it lost over 18000 last week) this is a 3% increase and suggest another round of dead babies from Babybooms is finished.
