Hello and welcome back to Population statistics. I am back to writing these after my unsuccessful attempt of becoming prime minister of the UK. I hope third time will be the charm. 🙁

Votes and Comments are always welcome. Subscribe if you’re new here! If you want to be really awesome you should shout this article out. 😃

If you vote AND comment you get entered into a prize draw (bottom of my article) and can win 1g. It’s not much but it’s all I can afford and gives you one more reason to read these things. 😛

For new readers of my article

I have gathered the latest figures on the population. I try to post a new article every other Sunday with updated stats and identifying a best performer and worst performer.

One more note. If someone wants to use the images or just translate this whole article then you have my permission…however please put a link to track back to this original article. 😃

Over the last few days I have been looking at the “New registered citizen” numbers of some of the biggest countries to see where a baby boom is evident. This week I’ve looked at the figures and chosen four countries who seem to be gaining a lot more citizens than anyone else.

Bulgaria – 621 new citizens today
Brazil – 527 new citizens today
Russia – 490 new citizens today
USA – 391 new citizens today

This is quite interesting in the fact that only Brazil seems to be in a “Big” direct war at the moment (Brazil vs Spain) so I’d hope that the above four countries have gained their new citizens through successful baby boom attempts and not through bots.

The above four countries (more Bulgaria and Brazil who have had 10k+ baby booms before) have shown in the past that they are capable of getting baby booms, though retention is another factor. As I mentioned above Brazil is the only country with a big direct war at this current moment in time although Bulgaria will attack Iran soon and USA is looking more than likely to be hit by NWO in the near future.

It will be good to see these countries keep up their growth. It could definitely aide them and their allies with a small bit of damage as well as increasing the demand on markets that have suffered with severe overproduction.

Lets start off with something that a lot of people have been talking about.

UK/Serbia proposed swaps

Earlier this week it was supposedly leaked that the UK had agreed to rent two regions to Serbia so that they could increase their economic bonuses. To get to the UK however Serbia will have to travel through Germany and then through Belgium. Steps were taken a few days ago to start the swaps with Germany NEing Serbia so that they could get to Belgium. However, with the threat of a North American invasion Panam took steps to stop the Serbians by making France NE Belgium therefore making it harder for Serbia to get through. As a Congressman and Minister of the eUK, I can say now that these swaps will not give Serbia a border with the USA.

Slovenia/Italy war

This war has been going on for quite a while now and looked to be ending on a positive note for Slovenia when they were given the opportunity to keep some Italian regions and sign peace thus improving their economic bonus. However Croatia has stepped in and declared war to Slovenia and Italy have backed down on the peace talks for now. This is slightly worrying for Slovenia who currently have 4MPPs whilst Croatia has 17.

North of Brazil battle

The biggest battle of the week and also the biggest battle of 2011 so far. This was the first test for the new alliances Panam and NWO with Spain attacking Brazil. The battle started off very well for Spain and its allies with it winning the first few mini battles pretty easily, with some Brazilians questioning their allies. To many peoples surprise panam upped their game for the next few mini battles and were able to grasp victory from what had seemed a certain defeat. The first test of the alliances might have been won by Panam but it is a beginning of a new chapter in alliances where we’ll see many victories and disappointments on both sides. I also think that NWO was also lacking some Serbian power from those who refuse to fight their former ally. :3

Big thanks to Keram10 once again who is awesome. Once his new article is out I’ll link it here.

The winner this week is Brazil. Not only were they the targets/victors of the first major battle this year but they also gained a baby boom this week. Brazil are known for their big baby booms and this one was no different with them gaining 7582 citizens this week propelling them up into first place with a growth rate of 51.57%! I don’t think you can top securing your main region and also booming at the same time. Congratulations Brazil. 🙂

The loser this week is Spain. Obviously I could talk about how they lost the North of Brazil battle for a whole paragraph; which is true, but there are another two regions for them being loser this week. Portugal and Venezuela. Last week Portugal wasn’t even on the map and now it has nearly all of its regions back. Venezuela has also gained back two regions from Spain this week through resistance wars with another possibly on the cards (the RW is at 6-5 at the moment I think). This has made Spain lose1332 citizens moving them down 3 places to be 11th which I think is the first time I’ve seen Spain not in the top 10 for a long time. Unlucky Spain and good luck next week. :3

These graphs show the data in the table above in a format easier for the eyes.

- 5 Countries not on the map; with 3 countries returning this week. Before the Natural enemy rule it was rare to see a country being wiped a week. 😮

- 10 countries have over 900010000 citizens. Erepublik is starting to pick up again a little bit.
- Brazil, Ukraine and Portugal gained over 1000 citizens this week. Greece was the only country to lose over 1000 citizens.

- Erepublik itself gained 11569 citizens this week. This means we're back up to the 250k citizen mark! Woo!
