One Year in eRepublik with Astra Kat G

So, hey everyone! It's my one-year anniversary here in eRepublik and I thought I'd publish one of those self-aggrandizing articles boldly declaring so.

Happy "One Year" to Astra!

So today we're celebrating the gift of me, I guess? Just kidding! Geez, if I ever started talking like that for real... yeesh!

Anyway, I've been disinterested in the game for months now and, as of July 1st, officially quit my last official position in eUSA's government, as an advisor to the Immigration Enforcement Subcommittee. I had finally decided it's just too much work to try to keep things running smoothly and I was taking a much-needed break from all eRepublik-related activities outside of two-clicking, until I hopped onto IRC yesterday and realized that Zyria over at FEC needed some help to fill open spots with blockers. So I worked hand in hand with her for several hours, during which time I realized the Amer. Defense and Trade Party (ADTP) President Dennis McVicker was much more interested in spamming channels with his Congressional platform than helping us secure his party's Congressional candidates. I decided I better block, too, setting myself up in D.C. under the United Independents Party banner.

I don't want to write a whole big thing on the matter (already made my report to Rod Damon), but here's why you should care: There's an unknown/improperly documented person (someone may figure out why he's there later) named Michal Lodziana 1 in Andhra Pradesh's ADTP election, as well as the unauthorized, illegal immigrant Pizza The Hut in Chongqing's ADTP election, and of those who are properly documented and authorized, who knows what foreign sleeper agents or otherwise dangerous individuals lurk? We already blocked two Hungarians yesterday. That's why we could use your help and your votes on July 25th to help make sure unauthorized and potentially dangerous individuals don't make it into Congress.

Come to #ato on Rizon IRC on July 25th and make your vote truly count. Thanks. Okay, public service announcement over.

So anyway, aside from that, hopefully my retirement will be a real retirement instead of me just saying "I'm retired!" and then spending several hours trying to save eAmerica from politicians that think too much of themselves. I think I'll stick with two-clicking or whatever the new version of two-clicking is (16-clicking?). I'm not even going to bother keeping up with wars, as combat is just too complicated and expensive for me in eRepublik Rising. Instead, I'm spending my hours studying in the library with Lisa, Monica, or Stacy -- wait, Gina! That's it. Anyhow, we engage in a bit of girl-on-girl studying in our cute outfits on a daily basis.

Studying's a lot more fun than training with Lana.

As you may've guessed by now, there's not much point to this article beyond wishing me a happy first eBirthday. I really do hate to write pointless articles, though, so I've come up with a few of tl;dr tidbits for you.

Wante😛 Dead or Alive

Even though I was technically retired at the time, I couldn't help but use my contacts in Immigration to start a discussion about a "Most Wanted List" when I read this Q&A with our President. This is my finalized list and will likely be the final published list (if President Reala hasn't already published it). All of these people have either fought against our military interests in Liaoning and/or participated in organized PTO against eUSA's interests in our political arena; their crimes include giving known enemies of the nation USA citizenship (and thereby exploiting their positions as Senators), faking military credentials to get elected, attempting to steal the national treasury, PTOing Top 5 party, etc. And while it's by no means a complete listing of the national blacklist, it's neat to see a Top 10 List anyway, right?

One more thing I'll leave you with is a "Speech for the Next Generation" I wrote on why I should be elected to the office of President of the eUnited States. I'm not actually running, but the "Next Generation" speech forum topic never happened, so I might as well publish it now. It's going to make this article way too long if I post it here, though, so click here if you're intereste😛

This was originally written back in late April so if something seems ridiculous or no longer relevant, that could very well be the reason.

Speak with a Training Corps representative today about joining!

And of course, what would an Astra article be without the obligatory advertisement for something geared towards newbies? If you'd like to prepare for a career in the eUS military, joining up with the eUS Training Corps is the best way to go about it. Congressional Coverage in Plain Black-and-White.

Lastly, I'd like to use this space to promote a newspaper that's been coming out with rather cool Congressional coverage lately, NX Productions. If you'd like to see more from Necros Xiaoban, re-elect him on the Federalist ticket in Texas tomorrow. To read his Presentation, click here. But again, if you just want to help keep your country safe from dangerous individuals, #ato is the place to be on the 25th.
