on the overnight outbreak of Glorious Failure

for the back-story on last night's events Syrup provides a pretty good breakdown

Live citizens should never have been granted the level of power as exercised in last night's uprising. I've read admins commentary in the past regarding mods needing to be 'in the game' to fully know the game. This excuse is bullshit, the use of “live” dummy accounts and adequate moderator compensation should suffice.

The idea that they could ignore basic customer service while continuing to sell Gold and only offer their player base excuses that boil down to We're too busy raping you to properly acknowledge that we're ignoring you should infuriate every citizen the New World over, despite alliance, national or party affiliations.

unrelated randumb rambling because i need to vent

Multi account problems may never be fully solved, I know I have no simple solutions to offer.

I have suggested admin follow the example set by other social sites and implement a block/ignore user option to allow individual citizens the ability to help protect/defend themselves against abuse (including the ability to block unauthorized donations, wellness gifting, delete or prevent player comments in the owner's paper and blocking of messages from abusive or vindictive players.) This does not solve the problem of cheating on the battlefield or the markets but it does contribute to reducing the number of players who are sabotaged and unfairly banned by association or abuse.
In basic terms, a citizen could be asked to accept not only friend requests but separately accept donations from _____ before such donations or gifting can be made – not each individual donation – but each donating citizen or organization not recognized as a national government-owned organization.

I've had plenty other ideas and opinions but I'm done pontificating at the moment.
