Day 953: Quitting Like a Boss

Some of you hamstas may have noticed that eRepublik went into a blazing, chaotic, glorious wreck today. I will try my best to document the events of the past 24 hours.

First, Necrosis decided it was time to quit eRepublik. Upon doing so, he posted his password in the eUS forums. Necrosis had ‘Moderator’ status within this game, which allowed him to do all sorts of fun and exciting things. After discovering the password, hordes of players got to play with Moderator status on Day 953.


Banhammer'd

The first actions of these “Moderators” were to: ban the Hungarian President, and all other notable PHOENIX Presidents. Then, they moved on to Presidential Candidates, banning all of them. Then, they moved their banhammer on to more public players (Congratulations if you were in our popular group of players who were banned, if you weren't banned, either you aren't well known, or people just actually like you, you sick, sick, person). Then, they decided to systematically banned all of Serbia’s tanks, moving the banhammer down the list of players by strength.

The “Moderators” then banned the admin (deserved.), and made multiple articles with the Insider. A few were made for attention, and some were made just ‘for the lulz’. They eRepublik Insider was then either deleted or stolen (noone knew what happened to it).


Creepiest gasp ever?

Afterwards, it discovered that Moderators could move around newspapers. The Serbian DoD Newspaper had 13998 subscribers, and they passed it around between users, starting with 13,999, then boosting it to 14,000 after transferring the paper to it’s new user, fetching anyone involved a tidy 14 Media Mogul medals.


Cat pictures are proven to get more subs. Plus, relevant.

At roughly 22:00 the servers went into “Maintaince” mode, basically a glorified mass headless chicken, with the admins attempting to fix all the destruction that was caused. Then, a message was sent out to all citizens with a brief, undetailed, and uninformative summary of events.

In conclusion, this was one of the most eventful day of eRepublik, and truly the best ragequit that we have seen to date
