NoneSuch's Not-So Massive Campaign Article
NoneSuch
A lot has happened since my last article, such as the realization that a single article just isn't going to be enough. As massive and dynamic as it was, it would have just been irresponsible of me to leave my campaign riding on that one article. This article will be much shorter so at least there's that. This time I want to just acknowledge some recent events involving the election and bring forward a pretty good idea I had.

Jamarcus
It's disappointing for me to see such an honest candidate be forced to withdraw from the race like Jamarcus did. After losing the AAP nomination he felt that he really had no other choice. Other than his articles and his forum posts I didn't know this fellow too well, but from what I did manage to see he had a good amount of ethics and conviction behind his words. He was fighting for an even more transparent government which no person can deny is a necessity in every government.
After resigning his candidacy he threw his support at the Kyle/Jewitt ticket which I bear no hard feelings towards. Even though I did not gain his endorsement I would still like to carry on some of his ideals. He and his supporters wanted a transparent government and that's what they'll get. I'll go over this in a bit, but don't think of this as me trying to "steal" his ideas. It would be wrong of me not to be influenced by this man.
Town Hall Debate
I was contacted earlier today by a player named "Not Done Never". He informed me that before Jamarcus withdrew he wanted to have a public debate between the candidates. I thought this was a great idea and told Not Done Never that I would be happy to be a part of this. Since then I have found out that Jamarcus withdrew, Scrabman said "he can't do it", and Kyle had accepted the offer. So as of right now Kyle and I will be having a public debate over the issues in the very near future. I'll keep you informed as I get new information pertaining to the whereabouts and time of the debate.

A Pretty Good Idea
Presidential Press Conferences
While I was on IRC last night I kept receiving PM's from people wishing me luck in the election and giving me their support. People were also saying that a good amount of my appeal was from just being such an approachable person. I took this to heart and went one step further. Depending on how well this idea is taken I want to hold either weekly or even bi-weekly Public Press Conferences.
These Press Conferences will be sessions in which myself and members of my potential Cabinet will be available for public questioning. So instead of the system we have right now in which The President decides what to tell the public, the public can decide for him. I find this a much more efficient form of communication since it's going to be a little more informal but much more in depth. I'm still undecided on whether or not I'll let the public just write up countless articles detailing these Q&A sessions or if it will all be professionally published in one article. Either way it's going to be good.
🙂
Edit: These will be held on IRC in a dedicated channel.
=====================================
So that's it for now. If you have any questions PLEASE send me a PM. I'll respond as soon as I can, promise.
Also, if you haven't already, check out my previous article!

I love the idea of Press Conferences. Let the people tell you what they want to see you accomplish. I knew you and Kyle would accept the Town Hall debate. You guys actually want to hear from the people. America can return to be kickass like it used to be. Either one of you would make great presidents.
I'm all about press conferences and transparency! NS4MAY
It's a little late to be having a debate, isn't it? Oh well.
I love the idea of the debate!
And with you, I feel like you'll really make the Government as transparent as possible!
Hell no I won't vote for you! No offence, but I don't think you're fit to be president. I would vote for Claire in a heartbeat. NoneSuch might need "A Little Claire-ification" on this.
Jeremy.... :/
@Jeremy: NoneSuch and I are very serious about working as a team when it comes to the decision making. We have similar views on most things, but he and I have a pretty strong professional as well as personal relationship. If I don't agree with a decision he is making, he will definately hear about it, lol. So, if you can put your trust in me, then I would say that it is safe for you to put your trust in NoneSuch. Thanks for the compliment, Jeremy.
I hope by transparency you mean see through tops.
Nonesuch, your appeal if that your just so approachable and I wish you luck in this coming election.
the fact your also on the irc a ton does you good benefit, it somewhat makes Press Conferences almost unnnecesary since the public almost always has a chance to shoot a question your way already, but I still love the idea
If you guys win i'll cut my pretty long locks. GO GO NoneSuch/Claire!
and Scrab declining the debate is completely in line with his lack of communication directly with the people. I hope for a lively debate between you and Kyle!
NS4MAY!
Town hall meetings, I love it. You really are the candidate of change, no one can possibly deny that!
Scrabman seems to be uninterested in winning this election or interacting with his public IMO. Although he's intelligent and in some ways competent I feel that his performance as president has been lackluster. One of the main reasons being that he doesn't have a good connection with his people other than his party. I know that Scrabman is seen as an amiable cross partisan President but his finesse with the public at large leaves much to be desired.
Incumbency usually gives one an edge but I feel like Scrabman isn't too interested in getting reelected if he can't even do a debate. If it were a scheduling issue it could be rearranged. I personally would not vote for a president that can't make the time to participate a debate before his election. If he wants this he needs to do the work.
EUSA is ripe for change and ripe for people that know what the common Emerican experiences and I think Nonesuch is that person in these elections. I'll be voting for him.

.... i love nonesuch
Selling GOLD.
PM me.
(Also a big plus if you got STEAM, but only within few hours from now)
Ms Lilac -
Or, possibly, it was because it was an ad-hoc debate scheduled a mere day before the election. If more time was given, maybe Scrabman could have rearranged his schedule. As it is, sending a message like "Hey want to debate tomorrow" isn't likely to get far.
2 days before election, Harrison. Answering a few simple questions in a Newspaper Article isn't that time consuming either. He could tech. do it in his own free time. I think it is important for the president to have a few minutes of time to explain his plans for the next month to the people he represents... but maybe that isn't important enough to him?
I agree Claire! Nonesuch would have my vote if I was able to vote. GL to both of you.
Im looking forward to what you and kyle have to say in these debates. Also good luck on the presidential race. 🙂
Come on, if by interacting with the public you mean hanging out in the usa-chat channel, who can blame him? That place is a bit much to take in anything but small doses.
Umm.. Just a quick question here, umm, which Bon-Jovi song did you end up picking for your campaign? 🙂
We chose "Living on a Prayer" because thats maybe the only way we could pull off a win today, lol. That's why we need your votes!!!
