My Mistake

Now that I have returned to the genesis of my eRepublik life and home of my God Emperor, /v/akistan, I have the chance to do something that I wish I was able to do months ago.

I never knew when, but I always knew this day would come. It's time for me to talk about the past and to confirm what people have suspected. I used Lana during my playing career and I apologize. I remember trying Lana very briefly in December and then after I was injured in the first major battle of Liaoning, I used Lana again. I used her consistently throughout the last several months, including during the battles of Heilongjiang.

I wish I had never touched Lana. It was foolish and it was a mistake. I truly apologize. Looking back, I wish I had never played during the Lana era.

During January & February, I went on the Army disabled list seven times and missed 22 battles over five weeks. I experienced a lot of injuries, including a ribcage strain, a torn left heel muscle, a stress fracture of the left heel, and a torn right testicle muscle. It was definitely a miserable bunch of weeks and I told myself that Lana could help me increase strength faster. I thought she would help me heal and prevent injuries, too.

I'm sure people will wonder if I could have contributed as many hit points had I never used Lana. I had good fights when I didn't use Lana and I had bad fights when I didn't use her. I had good battles when I used Lana and I had bad battles when I used Lana. But no matter what, I shouldn't have done it and for that I'm truly sorry.

eRepublik is not any different now - it has not been cleaned up. The Admins need to implement testing and crack down on Lana use, and I'd be glad if they did.

I'm grateful to my God Emperor for bringing me back in his good graces. I want to say thank you to the US Army, to my friends and to my commanding officer. I can't wait to put the Army Ranger uniform on again and to be back on the field of battle with all the great soldiers in the eUS Army. I've always appreciated their support and I intend to earn it again. I'm going to pour myself into this duty and do everything I can to help the Army Rangers continue to be the best soldiers for months to come.

After all this time, I want to come clean. I was not in a position to do that months ago in my congressional testimony, but now I feel an obligation to discuss this and to answer questions about it. I'll do that, and then I just want to help my country.
