MPP with the UK

We have been without an open battle for several days already and this is destroying our country. In the last few weeks we had daily more then 25 people join on average and as a country we were growing as well. That growth stopped when we had no more battles and today our population declined for the first time. I know 3 level +18 that quite in the last few days because of no wars.

We need a war and Turkey isnt providing it because they have some issues of their own and we dont know how long it will take to solve it. That is why we need a MPP with an ally that has daily attacks on their homeland. UK is that ally.

Yes, we might have an open war with Spain but they need to attack the UK to achieve this, something they havent done yet. An attack on mainland UK would cost Spain between 200-300 gold so they will not do it to get a cheap DoW on us. Spain or Poland hasnt attacked us yet and that isnt because they dont have the gold. Spain makes more then a 1000 gold a day (just printing and selling currency is an estimated 400 gold a day).

War is the best thing that can happen to a country in Erepublik look for example at Slovenia that just got back on the map. They have a population of 4500 now while before they were smaller then us.

We cant ever NOT sign a MPP for war because we have too few gold. War brings new players and keeps others active and is therefore the best investment we can make. Our state made more then 60 gold in the last few weeks with invites so we already earned back most of our investment.

I have spoken to the UK and their congress will support a MPP with us. I have donated 20 gold to DNB to help pay for the cost of the MPP and convinced several Congress Members of the importance of this MPP.

Now we need to our President ThomasRED to propose it and our Congress to approve it so we can once again fight and grow as a country.

I agree with you about the importance of an MPP with the UK. Also, to be honest, I think it would do very good to this country if Poland or Spain would invade us.

I am in doubt... it would mean that we can fight for the UK but on the other hand there will be a chance of us getting whiped from the map...

If we do it, we will be forced to block spain and poland in the future again, therefore annoying them and giving them a pretty damn good reason to attack us and finish us off...

I know im a fearly new player to the game. But i read a lot of information and i woul like to share my opinion on this mather.

We need to do something. This is a game. Where you should take risks. No war means no fighting. A lot of the people who are in this game wants to feel the exitement of winning. If we lose, then we rebuilt. We have a tight community, so with some strong action we could rebuild again.
When you dont want to risk war, then quit the game. With no war i think we would lose a lot of our players. They will move to another country or they will quit the game.

I agree, surely we are just as likely to be wiped off the map without this MPP as with it. Spain is too greedy to resist attacking us at some point and Poland wont forget us resisting them in Germany, so we might as well get the MPP and either have the better defence or go down fighting together with the UK.

It's nice that you have donated the 20G. As soon as I receive the other 80G, I'll have no financial objections anymore from my position as MoF. I think it would be a REALLY BAD idea to invest 80 G in this as state. We are currently just spending too much already.

It is also not a valid argument to say that we got 60 G from invites and thus have part of the investment back. I don't see why that 60 GOLD is directly linked to being a budget for a MPP with UK. If I had to label it, it would be for the state companies, to provide those new citizens with jobs.

Third, thanks for the opinion poll in the UK. However, I think it's more important to get this agreed in our own government and then congress first 😉

Oh, and war does not guarantee loads of new players. That's still Recruitment. However, war might make recruiting easier, and it might indeed be that they stay longer if we have war.

The strategic advantages/disadvantages of the MPP and a possible open war, I'll leave up to my colleagues of Defense.

This was discussed in the government meeting and we agreed on this. You didnt attend but we had a vote on it and the majority agreed on this.

MPPs are the best possible financial investment we can make if they provide daily battles. The real money and gold is in new players joining this game and older ones staying. Here is a few financial reasons to do this:

One day of fighting is 10 extra XP for each player a day. That is 70 xp a week. If we provide daily battles people will level up quicker providing new gold sources for our economy. A level 5 player that might now quite because he is bored would at least fight once to see how it works. One day of fighting pushs him to level 6 giving his invite gold and himself.

We are to focussed on our budgets which is good but our primary focus should be the growth of this country. If we have a population of 3000 citizens we can afford 5 MPPs easily. Daily battles makes Recruitment not just easier it makes it possible. We are shrink now without battles while we were growing rapidly (30% in one month) when we did.

@Boklevski - But the gold isnt going to matter when there is no UNL to hold it... The Spanish and the Polish are going to attack us sooner or later, we might as well fight with the UK than by ourselves.
