LJSilver Represents A Responsible eCanadian Government

SOCIAL SERVICES
Social services only work when there are people who are willing to go 'above and beyond'. To that end, I encourage the volunteerism of all more experienced players in assisting newer players i.e, providing information on in-game concepts such as wellness and fighting, and even personally donating items if necessary, or just pointing newer citizens in the right direction.
Newer citizens should be able to receive a bursary of gifts and/or higher level foods to keep them well and productive, and to feel included and wanted. I encourage the establishment and use of bursaries but, I don't believe in a 'free ride', so citizens would be eligible to receive these only when they join the eCanada forums and ask for eCanadian citizen masking.
Governments can't do it all but, the Ministry of Social Services is dedicated to helping new citizens in need by overseeing the mentoring and bursary programs as above.

ECONOMY
I believe in reasonable and sustainable income taxes for citizens. Taxes should be high enough to maintain government revenue, but low enough to allow our citizens to purchase wanted and needed goods, and even allow for some savings. We support measured approaches to adjusting income taxes based on carefully analysis of our economic statistics.
Reasonable import tariffs help ensure eCanadian businesses profit in the marketplace through protection from foreign competition. I believe that, when our businesses prosper, all of eCanada prospers. Lower import tariffs for weapons and iron help ensure the eCanadian military and the citizen military can purchase weapons at reasonable prices that, in turn, help increase damage points and rank - keeping eCanada militarily strong.
The current minimum wage of $1.50 CAD is an acceptable wage that provides for the purchase of goods, and encourages job retention and creation.
I encourage the government to maintain a reasonable stockpile of gold and currency, and of raw and manufactured goods which would help defend against any foreign military action. I do not believe the government should regulate and/or manipulate markets unless it is critical to do so.
Just like any other citizen, I encourage the government to purchase goods at the lowest market prices and, if possible, from Canadian firms. I do not endorse lengthy, single-source contracts with private companies.

MILITARY
I encourage all citizens to enlist in the CAF either in the Regular forces, the Rangers program, or in the Reserves program with involvement at a level that best suits their goals.
Funding for the CAF must be able to meet our defence needs at any time and to assist our allies, and be sufficient to allow for growth of the Regular forces.
The last world war between our allies and PEACE GC ended with success in part due to Canada’s great alliances and I encourage further alliances with countries that have mutual goals.

FOREIGN AFFAIRS
Assisting our allies, both militarily and financially, encourages their growth and helps keep eCanada strong. We must support our allies and help them improve as much as we want to see our own eCanada improve.

IN CONCLUSION
I urge you to get involved and to support the best interests of eCanada by joining with me, and with the Democratic Action League.

I encourage you, as a responsible citizen, to read the Democratic Action League platform, and choose a Democratic Action League congressional candidate to help make this a better eCanada.
