Kinda new here. How would you advise to progress?

Are you in eIrish Boot Camp? That gives free food, helpful mentors, a chat area to get to know other new citizens and learning and social activity opportunities. You can progress to another MU when you get to Commander level.

Join a commune for work through your MU - that gives you free tanks and food instead of an income (higher value than you would get paid, and avoids income tax)

Are you in a political Party? That gives more social and relationship opportunities and getting involved in elections helps to get to know others as well. Getting elected earns gold.

Do you have a newspaper? It costs 2 gold but is worth it as it gives you a forum for raising your profile and getting to know other citizens.

You can volunteer as an ambassador. This is good to get to know how the alliances work and what people in other e-countries are thinking about.

You can sell your votes (for articles and newspaper subscriptions)through MMOG voters club:

This earns local currency.

You can go for combat awards, like Battle Hero, True Patriot Award etc, which earn gold to upgrade your factories and training centres.

i hated when people had tank/gold give aways and required people to vote/sub/shout but this is getting rediculous now.

There's no other way of paying for advertising. I guess an advertising market is an essential part of life.

we used to have an advertising module. last time it was in action, some fake Romper porn was posted, and that, as they say, was the end of that.

I'm rather keen on the Battle Hero award for beginners - I've got 8 in division 1 so far. It just takes one or two bazookas in a quiet resistance war, usually, but you have to watch carefully for the last 10 seconds of the battle for gazumpers ( For learners of English: someone who tries to outbid you when you think you've bought a house). And PM people who look like they're going to try and outbid you.

I've managed to upgrade my food factory, town hall and storehouse with the gold earned
