James Roosevelt for Minnesota!

Day 759, 17:42 Published in USA USA by James Roosevelt

I spoke last month of a love for this country and a call to service, that call has sent me to the great state of Minnesota! Here in the land of one thousand lakes I am running for Congress!
I have been blessed with positions in my party and have been overjoyed to serve. These modest posts and accomplishments are:
-USWP PAC Regional Director: Southern States
-USWP Deputy Communications Director
-Founder and Head of the USWP Writer’s Corps. A description can be found here:

This would be my first term in Congress if elected, but I remain that it is my passion for public discourse and public policy that will make me an effective and hard working legislator, not being a umptininth term Senator. I am a student of economics and a lover of history. I am an avid researcher and thinker; I spend most of time behind my desk reading, writing notes, or deep in thought. Through my endless research and thought process that I described previously, I have formed the opinions and policies that make up my platform below, I hope you enjoy it.

Military and Defense:
-As an in game Lieutenant, I have seen enough fighting to understand what must be done. We must keep our fortress states Florida and California strong. We must remain to learn from our mistakes and fund a National Defense grid that will prevent any future assaults on our borders.

Foreign Policy:
-We are still at war, PEACE has “risen out of the ashes” and turned its ugly head as Phoenix. We must remember that no great wars were won by a single nation, and continue our relations with EDEN. We must finally remember that know group bent on world domination has ever won. It is almost as if there is a spirit of Liberty, giving us the strength to win. We must use this strength, unite, and win the day.

Economics:
-I recall James Carville. He was the first to say “It’s the Economy, stupid!” As a student of Economics, I believe that a strong economy is the basis for any success in the Military, in Foreign Policy, and in Domestic Tranquility. We must maintain a Tax System that enables Free Trade as much as possible. I feel that all countries have comparative advantages in certain businesses, even if they are not indicated by the game mechanics. I believe that encouraging Free Trade with our allies will lead to a market drive to more specialization and trade, which will increase the productivity and prosperity of all participating nations. I acknowledge that some believe that free trade will harm industry. Where I admire their sentiment, I respectfully disagree. If elected I hope to aid in breaking down trade barriers with other nations to encourage domestic and global prosperity.

Domestic Policy:
We need to have a proactive government that will aid new members and create them in to the future Generals, Capitalists, and Statesmen of tomorrow. We need to have a mentor and military recruiter assigned to each new member. I believe the best way to enable this is by creating Low Profit Organizations. An idea created by Senator Clevinger, Low Profit Organizations are Federally Subsidized Businesses created with the intent of hiring only newborn citizens so that they may be trained, mentored and then recruited by the military. This will also allow help our private sector business attain higher profits. I also believe that Congress should set the example in these domestic policies, and that each Senator must be a part of this system. This I believe will help progress the program and remind Senators why they are serving, so that our youth may have a better future

In Conclusion, I would like to thank you for reading my platform. I know it is long, but I feel that the fate of our Nation deserves more than just the ten word answers some politicians give. I would also encourage you to vote this December the 25th, as I believe that in these times we must make sure that our fate is in the hands of the many, not the few. Hopefully I will be able to serve this great state in Congress and together we can create a “more perfect union.”
