Interview with TemujinBC

Day 1,109, 21:12 Published in Canada Canada by Janos Leinport

Who are you TemujinBC?

I'm a 32 year old douche from Northern British Columbia who is addicted to an online browser game known as eRepublik. I'm one of the Executives of The Crimson Order, a fantastic militia group that fights for Canada, for our Brother and Sister Crimsons, and for teh lulz. I'm one of the top ranked players in Canada as far as experience points (though it is a dogfight for the top spot!)

Why do you want to be CP of Canada?

I would like the chance to catalyze the country. While things have been getting more active in the media, the military, and the external sites (eCan forums and IRC), Canada needs a catalyst. I believe we can see great growth in this nation. But it won't be easy, and no single person can do it alone. I want to be the CP of Canada so that I can lead, guide, and direct the baby boom Canada is sure to have in the month of December.

Stabilizing the economy after the introduction of new resources this week will take a herculean effort. Are you Hercules?

No doubt, this will be a huge challenge for my administration. I think the steps being taken by the current congress and administration are forming a solid set-piece for my term. Grain owners have seen the production of their workers cut in half, as have titanium owners (which will soon be no more). While the overall price of these raw materials has risen to compensate, the new import tax of 1% on grain could spell the end of domestic grain production. It will be an interesting time for Canada, as we adjust to these new aspects of the economy. Am I Hercules? I'm not sure anyone is, but I know together we will endure. The collective efforts of Congress and my Executive team will work to ensure this.

Past CPs have led us to the door of London only to lose horribly and all the progress we made along the way in eUK. Do you plan to do the same?

As long as the leadership team in Phoenix includes JamesW, Iain Keers, and Thatcher (all UK citizens) it will be a momentous task to try and wipe the United Kingdom. I was in favor of our recent attempts, but it is clear that our efforts will not be successful without vastly larger investments of gold. Had the United Kingdom not been rescued by an extremely wealthy citizen named Helia14, the outcome in London could have been different. The UK has saved and hoarded gold for several months, knowing we would attack London. You have seen the results. I would like to see Canada involved in other aspects of Eden's war with Phoenix. I would never rule out another invasion, as things change often and you never know when a change in policy will be needed. However, it is not a current goal and I truly feel Canada has bigger fish to fry. Much bigger.

Some people have called you a military mastermind. As an executive of The Crimson Order, how would you describe your military experience?

Well, I know how to push buttons, and I sure know how to spend gold 😃 I have always thought I had a decent command of game mechanics, but the new modules and rules will take some time to fully understand. This is why it is critical to have a Cabinet that is active and educated in game rules. As well, Congress needs to be active and paying attention, so that we aren't caught without appropriate funds from the country accounts, or in need of CAD due to a currency printing. I've fought around the world, and I've seen the power of timing and coordination with these new mini-battles. The Crimson Order and the Canadian Armed Forces have literally turned the tide of mini-battles with a handful of fighters working together in the final moments. I've talked with many military leaders in allied nations, and fought side by side in epic battle strikes which turned sure-defeat into victory. As an executive in The Crimson Order, it's been my great privilege to fight side-by-side with many active friends. All my military experience has told me there is nothing quite like the final five minutes of a battle where even a less experienced player can make a difference.

As a very experienced congressman, what is your top legislative agenda?

I watched with horror and great angst as congress increased the income tax to 15%, up from 11%. I did not agree with this at the time, and would be very pleased to see it reduced back to its previous level. As CP, I will be taking on a different role, but I am excited to see where congress takes this debate.

So many people have endorsed you; it appears to be a forgone conclusion that you will be Canada’s next CP. Do you think you may be too intimidating on the eInternational stage?

I couldn't imagine many people being intimidated by me! But I'm really looking forward to getting to know other Country Presidents, and meeting allies from around the world. I have watched with interest the US election campaign. The outcome of that is quite critical, and you can be sure I will continue to build Canada's reputation as a Bro to the United States. Canada knows who its allies are, and I hope our allies know they can rely on us.

With your pick of Samuel Brouillette as your VP, the top two most experience Canadians will be at the head of the government. What legacy would you like your administration to leave when you are no longer CP?

I would like people to say "TemujinBC was a perfect blend of lulz and srs bsn, and he helped catalyze Canada in ways no one else has". To me, that would be the very best legacy: I helped Canada.

Thank you for your time, sir. Do you have any last words for Canada?

A wise man once told me: "I applaud your ingenuity in the face of overwhelming difficulty...". During my administration, there will no doubt be times of difficulty. I have a bold plan to increase Canada's population. We may find ourselves overwhelmed with new citizens, new financial challenges, or even an invasion. It will take the collective ingenuity of our nation to not only face these issues, but to solve them. My cabinet team contains a number of young faces, some new faces, and some experienced government officials. It is a winning team, and we represent a winning nation. I know people may have doubts about my motivations, and some may harbor doubts about the wisdom in handing over the keys of the nation to me. I ask for a chance to remove those doubts once and for all. Together, there is no difficulty that is too overwhelming for our ingenuity. Thank you Janos, for the opportunity to respond to your questions. Vote for TemujinBC!
