TemujinCP - A Platform

The Platform of TemujinBC - Three Planks

On December 5th, I will be running for President of eCanada. Special thanks for the Democratic Action League, the Norsefire Party and the Lemon Party for their endorsements. And to those in the other parties, thank you for the opportunity to present my candidacy. As CP, I will try hard not to disappoint. This platform is short and sweet (that is, if 1100 words can be considered short). Any further issues can be discussed in the comment section, or on the party forums, or on IRC. The theme of my campaign has been ”Canada needs a catalyst”, and I believe I am the right man to see this nation catalyzed. The full cabinet shall be released shortly.

Plank #1 - Social

The first and most important aspect of my administration will be a massive and sustained growth in our population. In the past, Country Presidents have crossed their fingers and hoped for a baby boom.

I intend on delivering one.

Through the use of radio and newspaper media, I will see Canada’s population grow to never-before-seen heights. My plan is to have a population of at least 8000 citizens in Canada by the end of this term. Internet banner ads have also shown some success, and will be explored, as we all television advertisements (although they get pricey and the unending pot isn’t actually unending). Canada has always been a second-tier nation in eRep because we cannot match the populations of the bigger countries. A massive and sustained baby boom can change all this.

In order to ensure this boom does not fizzle, I will count on my Ministry of Information and Education. There will be regular draws for free food for noobs, and helpful articles will be in the Top Five to make it easy for new players to gain access to critical information. The work of various charities and mentorship programs will also be crucial in making sure our new players stick around.

Plank #2 - Economic

I will take a pragmatic approach to the economy. For as long as I’ve been alive, Canada has had a highly valued currency, and a closed market. These things have become essentially part of out national identity, and I won’t promise sweeping changes. Due to the new market rules, our economy could see a turbulent few weeks. Now is not the time to go lowering the value of the CAD on a whim. There are many with vested interests in seeing a high CAD, including the Bear Stears org. In case you forget, that org and its company (Goldman Sachs) essentially pwned our monetary market for over a week, causing the CAD to spike to a value of 0.035 gold per CAD. I have no desire to start an MM war, and so my economic team will be tasked with ensuring the stability of the CAD at its current level. As our population grows, we may find the CAD value needs to be re-visited. I do not believe it is wise to promise vast changes, and trying to do so without congressional approval is a waste of time anyways.

The other critical aspect of my economic policy will be savings. There has been a knee-jerk reaction to holding large amounts of reserves due to the recent thefts of country accounts by citizens trusted with the keys. And while no one wants to see Canada lose its finances, I believe we must begun a savings program. We have all seen what savings have done for the UK during the London battle. And while I would never base my administration on that of a utter failure of a nation, I do believe we ought to consider the ramifications of our current policies. In case of an emergency, or a full-scale invasion, Canada will need access to large amounts of funds to save itself. Funds we simply do not have at this time.

Although my campaign goal does not show a desire to increase the GDP by a large margin, this does not mean I am adverse to savings and growth in our country accounts and orgs.

Plank #3 - Military

We have seen what Canada can do on the battlefield when we are active, coordinated, and energized for a fight. Without the help from a very rich citizen, and a strict savings policy, London surely would have fallen to EDEN. Our military routinely punches above its weight, and Canada is blessed to have several citizens who purchase gold and use their own funds for tanking.

I will not actively pursue another invasion of the UK. I believe Canada has bigger fish to fry. Much bigger. And I anticipate Canada’s role in EDEN to be an important one. We will support our allies and evaluate our MPP network. I would like to see us enter an agreement with Australia, so we can help prevent Indonesia from wiping our friends down under. My campaign goal includes the invasion of Paraguay, and occupation of the Chaco region. 😁 More on that in the future!

There has been a great deal of discussion about the feud between the Canadian Armed Forces, and The Crimson Order. I have always thought the rivalry was a positive thing, as it encourages activity, loyalty and gamesmanship amongst the members of each group. As you all know, I'm one of those who actively partakes in the bantering. In the past, we’ve seen and heard grand proclamations from candidates who say they will unite the two groups, or promise closer coordination, or announce vast funding proposals. I, for one, continue to value the rivalry between these two groups. I will not promise an end to the feud, nor will I make bold funding propositions or campaign for unity between the two groups. But to paraphrase Adam Sutler and Tyler F Durden...

TCO AND CAF AT PEACE... THERE HAS TO BE A SACRIFICE

On December 6th, upon my confirmation as President of Canada, I will resign my commission as War Lord of The Crimson Order.

The Country President position is one that deserves 100% attention, and a high level of activity. The very same is true of an Executive in TCO. I will not make one suffer at the expense of another. There are many great up-and-comers in TCO (and several douchebags) who can fill my position, and I know the Executive team of TCO will continue to built the lulzy camaraderie in my absence.

*******

I ask all of Canada to consider voting for TemujinBC on December 5th. We need a catalyst to spark this nation. That catalyst is not TemujinBC alone. It is not TCO. It is not CAF.

It is all of us. And together we will see this nation catalyzed.

Thank you all so very much. Hugs and Kisses,

TemujinBC

PS During the four weeks of my term, I will need a job. If anyone would like a level ten Guru working in their company for $1.20 a day (I use 200% booster every day as well), there will be a random draw made on December 8th for four lucky company owners. Each of the winners will have my services for a week.
