I, Gnaeus Progenitor, am running for congress - again! I am running in the great state of Vermont.

Who the f**k am I?
- I was eBirthed during the reign of Gaius Julius. He may be my eFather. Science must be done to prove this.
- I purchased my own moving ticket and paid my way out of the wastelands.
- I assisted in kicking Hungary out of North America. Often tanking with all of my newb strength.
- I besieged the regions of Liaoning, Heilongjiang, and Karnataka [sometimes, like Jęwìtt, with my bare hands]. Used in my previous campaign article. Still amusing.
- I've seen good men quit and the enemy win. As a congressman I will do my best to make sure neither continues to happen.

Resumé:
- I served as Secretary of Communication [then later as Deputy Sec. of Comm.] for The Bull Moose Party - where I wrote updates and promotional articles for the party.
- I did a brief stint in the Community Development Program.
- I have served one full term as the Party President of the Technocratic Party of America, and was elected to a second, only to abdicate shortly after to run for congress. I helped it rise to the top fifteen parties within my first month and still plan on promoting the party as well as remaining active.
- I acted as the Press Secretary for President PigInZen, working under Indiana's greatest Congress Member and Secretary of Media, Mr. Hyphenated.
- I have served one term in congress, representing the 22 mostly dead [or dying], and nearly all Chinese, citizens of the great region of Hainan - which has since been returned to China.
Foreign Relations
Holy Ceiling Cat - this is a time of uncertainty when it comes to alliances. We are facing a possible Polish incursion at this very moment. Though, personally I believe that Poland simply did this to freak out the eU.S. - whether it has the intent to invade or simply wanted to scare the dickens [yes, THE dickens] out of us - it was still malevolent. Secretary of State Myles Robinson, in all of his sexeh glory, denounced the move by Poland. I agree with Myles. Poland is figuratively marching through the alps with this trick - brandishing a large army [and, one would hope, elephants]. This is a slap in the face to the eU.S.A. I advocate doing whatever is necessary to defend our nation from invasion or subsequent occupation. We need to re-address who our allies and friends are - because times have greatly changed.
After the Eden debacle - I am hesitant to support the eU.S. joining any mega-alliances [new or old]. The Brolliance is a system of nations which come together with equal treatment and voice - this more informal system might be our best bet in these uncertain times. We must consider reaching out to new allies - and possibly even a few old enemies.

We also need to maintain good relations with our Asian friends.
Education and Information
Educating newer citizens is very important. The infohub implemented during Josh Frost's second term is an excellent tool for players, old and new, to learn more about the eU.S. and the game. The North American University, another education tool, is not as excellent - it could stand to have many improvements. I would like to work with the NAU to make it more efficient as well as to recruit experienced and knowledgeable players as teachers. Furthermore, I would not be opposed to the government aiding auxiliary schools set up by parties or individuals - much like the government currently does for militias.

The Scale of the Economy
The Sydiot Plan is currently where congress is leaning. That means low import taxes which gives the consumer lower wages, but higher purchasing power. It also makes it ridiculously hard to make a buck if you own a company in the eU.S.A. Manufactured products will remain cheap, though I think there is room to adjust the numbers higher. Foreign companies can still make a profit with 5% import tax and it allows for native companies to better compete against the foreign influx of goods. Lowering the value added tax is also important to stay competitive with foreign products. The new stock exchange system has greatly bolstered the American company sector - making it easier to make money with domestic companies and making those companies get a leg up in the market.

The Military and Militias
The eU.S. Military has competent leaders and, to congress, is pretty much a whole other beast. I would seek advisement from members of the Military for matters pertaining to war. Some of my closest advisers in the Technocratic Party of America are in the eU.S. Military. With concern to militias, the Office of Militia Support is doing a good job so far dealing with the militias and I would hope that they can continue to reach out to these private fighting forces. It is my belief that the Military and the various militias help greatly with regard to retention.

V2 and the Future
Version 2 is coming out sometime within the next 800 years so we must continue to plan. I do advocate stockpiling a bit - but also we need to live in the moment as far as enjoying the game. There's no guarantee that V2 will be more fun than the current version. I do have it on good authority that the eU.S. has already stockpiled quite a bit of gold for the impending second version of Erepublik.
DIO
Woxan has declared us a Dioist nation. I am not a Dioist - I am member of the Non-Denominational Church of Ceiling Cat. However, Dio is a prophet [albeit, a rather sinister prophet] within my religion. My one problem with Woxan's move has nothing to do with disliking Dio or anything of the sort - it's that I think it takes away from the first Dioist nation. The sands of Pakistan belong to Dio and I feel like if every nation became Dioist it makes Pakistan somehow less special. Religion and Government, I feel, must remain separate in the eU.S.A. That's just my view. Also, the Publius Fist may be my favorite religious symbol of all time.
