In fact, it's amazing they were even able to do one constructive thing so far this term, but it actually happened. Chickensguys is no longer blacklisted! After a lively and fun-to-read Discussion in the Public Congress Forum, Congress voted 14-7 In Favor of Chickensguys being removed from the blacklist.
But then I got to thinking, how many people can possibly be on this "Black List"? So very little searching in the forums (it's literally a sticky/locked post in the Library of Congress sub-forum) lead me to the list of people that "shall be banned from ever serving as a member of Congress on the eUS forums until such time as a vote of Congress overturns their blacklisting". Yes, my friends, the Permanent Congressional blacklist.
Holy bat-crap, Bat-Man!!! I'm STILL on the list! In fact, 17 people that aren't banned from the forums out right as still on the Black List. That's amazing.
So how did me and a bunch of other hooligans get on Santa's naughty list? Because we fought against a government-imposed dictatorship... first in Congress then on the actual battlefield in a December 2015 revolution against said dictatorship.
Yes, friends and frienemies... a bunch of us took a stand against the status quo in the Christmas Revolution of December 2015 and got summarily spanked. A fewe got off the list, but look at some of the names still there.
Names like hoss1965, Josh Whitehead, and yes... Myself truly do not deserve to remain on a black list preventing access to the Private Congress forums if we win a seat in Congress in game (or are appointed to the Shadow Congress). In my instance, I already have access to more important subforums, including the Cabinet Room. It's really nuts!
So I'm calling for all my filth friends in Congress to unite and strike out the black list on all of those that participated in the Christmas Revolution of 2015. At a time when we should be coming together, does it make any sense to stick to old butthurt and keep some people who are actively fighting and working to make our community better? Use the recent de-listing of chickensguys from the blacklist as an example and stop excluding people that fought against the dictatorship. After all, in the end, weren't we on the RIGHT side of the issue?

Funny thing is Jude, you never even fought in the battle. You were blacklisted for donating money to Bear Cavalry. Doesn’t much matter now anyway. Any congress that unblacklists CG is beyond repair. Issue something like this and you can get off the list too I imagine.

No one from the December revolution should be blacklisted. We cannot afford to continue to alienate players who are assets to the country and the game.

I'd generally had more respect for Jude than for YOU cg... until more recently. I now respect YUR prospective quite a bit, so was very glad you were UN-banned. Never thought much about Jude cause... osom.
Now that he's returned to this humble game... it MATTERS. Few have more experience in this area than you... cept Jude and a few possible reincarnates.

The most amazing thing is that u still care about what's going on in the forum. Who cares about all the rules and regulations made up by the people who got us into this mess.

I've always believed it can be changed from within. Now with certain old Pfriends no longer allowed there, I think things can actually change.

Back in 2015, we had a Congress-mandated Dictatorship in place.
In December, a new CP was elected and he gave those of us that didn't like the Dictatorship money to launch a revolution against it. We did.
No one knew at the time where the money came from, as I took the heat for "financing" the revolution.
Everyone who fought against the Dictatorship was blacklisted from Congress.
Can you prove the money came from Gnilraps?

That money mostly came from me, none from Gnil... as BC commander at the time (only stepping aside so PQ could launch it) I know this as fact.
Phil did handle all of the expenses sans the initial 200K from Gnilraps.

I also recommend a posthumous pardon for that "Phoenix Quinn" character. Sure he was a troublemaker who wrote incomprehensible articles, was too lazy to actually do anything useful, and out-right refused to ever even log into to the "US Forum", but still, he was cute as heck and deserves a pardon on that basis alone, nah?

How about an automatic unblacklisting for everyone after... 365 days if they haven't done annything irl-illegal. When the reset time is 30 days or less, it then can be reset to 365 by a congress vote if it's needed.
That's similar to how trade embargos work in USA irl. It has to be actively renewed.
