Fall of a Knight

A tragic story has occurred in eIsrael. One so sad, devious, and pathetic that deserves to be brought out to light and for the people to hear. It is a sad story of the fall of one of our most visible citizens and his attempts to wreck our nation.

Let’s call our Fallen Knight FK. FK is a man who at one time or other held the respect of many people in this country. He rose from obscurity to the highest office our country holds. Then he left us. But like all true eIsraelis he came back. Our love for eIsrael always brings us back, regardless of real life ties.

In his return he found a nation that had moved beyond a need for him. One that was progressing past his age of fighting and bickering into one of cooperation and development. This was not the eIsrael he had been born in, lead, or even left. This was something different, but he was the same.

He sought out a high position within our government and was given the role task of dealing with foreign nations. Yet he didn’t really respect the President, his boss. Nor did he care to actually do what the President asked. Instead he decided to work on his own and develop his owns ideas. He never was much of a team player.

One of his ideas was to make contact with a spy in enemy territory. This spy would trade information for gold. FK thought this was a pretty good idea, even though the spy was but a common soldier. Now he only had to get large amounts of gold. Of course to do that he would need to talk to the President. And so he went to the President. He didn’t ask for 1 gold, 2 gold, or even 10 gold. He asked for 100 gold. 100 gold from eIsrael to pay a spy who may or may not help.

The President heard the idea. He even toyed with the idea and making it work. But in the end the President’s finance guy helped him decide to not fund the spy mission. FK threw a fit. He could not figure out how the President or his advisor would not fund him. FK was the best eIsraeli ever in his own mind! This was an insult!

And so FK’s mind grew dark. He decided that if the President would not give him the gold then he would have to destroy the President. So he started a campaign to do so. First of all he needed political support. This was easily achieved by joining one of eIsrael’s smaller parties. Then he needed to turn the population against the President. Once again, thanks to a natural divide that was slowly healing, he was able to rile up people against the President. Finally, he needed to beat the President in the next election.

But FK did not have as much support as he thought he did. His time away had lost him support and he was not yet strong enough to run against the President himself. He needed someone he could use to destroy the President. Not a puppet, but a tool of revenge. And he found one. Using the small party he belonged to he backed a good, upstanding eIsraeli citizen against the President. Nobody would ever suspect that this candidate was being used for revenge. FK’s plan was almost perfect.

There was one large problem. FK’s ego had begun to grow. He began to openly mock the President. He also began to tell others that he would make the President and his advisor pay for what they had done. He didn’t care who he told. In FK’s eyes there was nobody that was even close to him in greatness. Everyone else was a tool to be used.

Yet he forgot that the people are the ones who vote. You my friend have a chance to prevent this from happening. You control the future. A future of progression or a future of revenge. You decide.

I wish this were not true, but it is. I feel sad. Sad for everyone involved. Most of all I feel sad for the candidate who is being used. He is a great guy and deserves better - better than this.
