eUK Mentorship Programme and player rewards system
Department for Education
This programme is not only designed to help new players get started in eRepublik but also to keep them engaged and motivated to continue playing. To achieve this, a rewards system has been created for new players, which incentivizes them to reach certain milestones and complete specific tasks. The following is a breakdown of the rewards system for new players:
Milestones
Joining the eUK Mentorship Programme will get you a country currency reward
Reaching level 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 / 175 / 200 provide country currency rewards
Publishing their 1st / 5th / 20th / 50th newspaper article will offer Gold Rewards (based on the number of votes and comments the article receives)
Reaching 50 / 100 / 200 Sky Hero Medals - country currency grant for a Q2 house
Reaching 100 / 250 / 500 Battle Hero Medals - Q7 tanks
Military Rank and Aircraft Rank Milestones - Country currency reward
The rewards system also includes friendly contest events that aim to build a sense of community and provide opportunities for new players to connect with each other and with more experienced players. Here are some contest event ideas:
Contest Events
Top-rated Newspaper Article: Players compete to write the most popular newspaper article, and the winner receives a prize.
“1st to” Similar Starting Groups: Players are grouped together with their mentor and compete to reach a certain milestone before other groups.
Why Join
As a new player, joining the Mentorship Programme can be a great way to get started in eRepublik. You will have the chance to learn from experienced players, receive guidance and support, and earn rewards for your progress. As a mentor, you can give back to the community and help new players grow their knowledge and skills, and provide opportunities to connect and build relationships with new players.
How to Join
To join the Mentorship Programme, simply reach out to the programme coordinator or mentors in your eRepublik community. Let’s work together to define and improve this programme and make eRepublik an even more engaging and enjoyable game for all players. I should add anyone can be a mentor regardless of level, what you have to offer the community goes beyond level and you never can reach a level where you won't benefit from some mentorship, just level 200 is when I felt rewards should stop.

The Real Spamican Community Reward Framework and/or Government's Community Player Reward Fund (In-development)
I have noted the Real Spamican's have published details of their The Real Spamican Community Reward Framework proposal which seems to be aimed at citizen below level 30 however as you'd expect a proposal full of great thinking.
I do intend to the Mentorship to support players up to level 200 as I was intending on player rentetion to levels that would mark great improvement to the UK across a range of topics and expertise among our citizes so I think between the two player rentention would be greatly enhanced. Lots of support up to level 30 and then continue mentorship and a trickle of rewards up to level 200
This leaves the yet to be developed "Player Reward Fund" which aim is to support community growth by providing reward packages for various activities, such as article writing or community involvement. The specific activities to be rewarded will be determined by the government, with a focus on promoting community spirit and supporting new players. The fund will also consider rewarding players who identify and meet community needs, and those who contribute significantly to community activities.
Congress will provide “green light” to rewards, however the Government will have discretion in determining specific rewards for those nominated.
This scheme is more ad-hoc where other player nominate a player for national recognition so once I work out the details I'm sure all three could nicely work together
I'll spend a bit more time reading though The Real Spamican Community Reward Framework however thought I'd throw Government's humble proposal into the arena for public consultation as to me there doesn't seem to be any conflicting priorties between them.
All thoughts welcomed

Bloody hell! First MoED article in well over 2 years! Huzzah!
I'm more than happy to sign up as a mentor and warp any new players' fragile little mind 🙂
Thank you, You are on the list as a Mentor o/
I would definitely suggest the Gov considers adopting the milestones if not the approach described in the article below - chiefly because we have a few fighting incentives and really need to incentivise people to engage in the community if we want to retain a wider pool of players 👍

nice work. great effort.
Great to see, glad to see good ideas and activity prevailing.
I would echo that Spamican Framework also helps to support all players during all stages. While I support this I would ask that you consider more rewards for the social elements ie media, talking to people, hard worker - these types of rewards would keep people in the game.
I’m also happy to mentor and send a list of those currently supported by Bupa (there’s a few not on the NHS list).

On a political point, I note many Congress Members who voted against the proposal in Congress have endorsed this article.
I wonder if that’s because they admit they were wrong to oppose this idea or whether they support anything a non Spamican does…
Hyper-partisanship is my guess !
As I commented in the Congress discussion - I am not against schemes which support junior players or encourage useful activity.
However, I am considerably less enthusiastic about poorly constructed proposals that are thrown into a vote without working out the details.
Forgive my cynicism here - I have seen so many bright ideas and initiatives come and go over the years - very few stand the test of time.
To be successful schemes like this need to be well thought out and constructed around a workable framework which is clearly promulgated to the target population. Above all, such schemes require a considerable amount of time and effort from those administering them - without the energy, drive and determination of those administering the mechanics behind the scenes, the whole thing will fail.
I am happy to pledge support to any plan which is planned and executed properly such that it survives for longer than a couple of months.
The vote was in fact just to ring fence funding for a rewards program, which included an objective and an amount of money. It had the appropriate amount of detail for a ring fencing proposal, voting against it was just voting against funding any rewards activity.
The actual administration of any scheme shouldn't be 'legislated' by Congress as that is restrictive and unnecessary imo, and related to the role of the cabinet and not of Congress.

Is it possible for the Department of Education to set up a page dedicated to answering players queries about the mechanics of the game and also for passing on playing tips. Someone is sure to know the answer to any questions. I have a question concerning travelling and moving tickets.
Each week in the Weekly Challenge I am awarded up to 20 Q5 Moving Tickets. Being a resident of Scotland I have to travel to a UK controlled region in order to fight in a UK battle. Whether I pay currency or use a Moving Ticket (if available) is controlled by a toggle found under Game Options titled 'Prefer currency when travelling'. As it only costs me 20 currency to move to the UK from Scotland and Q5 Moving Tickets can be stockpiled for events involving travelling large distances such as Spring Break, I have the toggle set to ON. I was curious though what the default position of the toggle is when a new account is created. If it is OFF new players will be unwittingly using up any moving tickets they acquire when they travel.
The relevant Wiki page https://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/Edit_profile doesn't help as it doesn't state whether the default position is ON or OFF.
Hope you don't mind, we took your question and turned it into an article. It's a great suggestion to try and answer questions such as this one https://www.erepublik.com/en/main/newspaper/department-for-education-247504/1
