Second Place, not First and not Third

Running for Vice President, not President? Yes, Absolutely. Second-In-Command, not The Man.
For that job you want PigInZen, candidate on the USWP Party ticket.
He's declared that he would have as his Vice President the second highest vote-getter in the race.

This presents a potential problem. I do not wish to strip votes away from PigInZen; I do not seek the Highest Office; and most of all I don't want us to land as #'s three and four instead of President PigInZen with me as second-most vote-getter.

Problem resolution is my thing. Whether or not it works is up to those who choose to, or not to, employ the tactic as laid out here:

Just as in Congressional Elections, most citizens will vote when it's convenient, during their normal game play time frame. This amounts to the bulk of votes cast, but sometimes elections come down to the wire and there's a last minute mobilization for yet-uncast votes to make a final push for a candidate.
I'll be holding my own vote to the end of the day, checking the tally so far, and if PigInZen does not have a clear lead I will be voting for him. If he's miles ahead and we can be sure he will be our next President, I'll vote for myself.
I hope enough people will do this to elect PigInZen as President for sure; my own second place finish is second priority.

Getting on the Ballot

Possibly most important in these few days before the election-- an impossible task, and if I pull this off you'll know I can accomplish the impossible as your Vice President-- I have to attract the attention of a Political Party to back me as a Presidential candidate. I ask you to contact your Party leadership today, and urge them to pick me up.
As of this writing, while I have enjoyed a fair amount of citizen support which is a real boost to my confidence, I have not been picked up by any established Political Party. I'm pretty sure at some point I may simply create a Party and get on the ballot as an "unauthorized candidate" and you can look through the long list to find me.
As a candidate for your Party I offer recognition and media coverage. "Top 5" Parties may not see so much value in this but from page two on this can only help.

I'll run an article each of these days before the election days to cover major topics in detail.
Yesterday, a bio piece as an Introduction; Tomorrow, Custer's Stand on the US Military.

Custer's Stand on Foreign Policy

Let's be straight, here.. I'm a Soldier and have been a Soldier almost all my eLife. My focus has been on doing all I can to help our USArmy grow in strength and character. My view on US Foreign Policy is from a Soldier's understanding, how it has affects us as a fighting force. I read the papers, I leave a Comment here and there, I chat a bit with policy makes in IRC.
I wager most US citizens are seeing US Foreign Policy from the sidelines like this as well, sometime in approval and sometimes not, always wondering whether we really have a voice in the decisions our elected officials make on our behalf.. decisions on who we are to be aligned with and who are to be our enemies.

As Vice President it would be my job to support the President in enacting his policies, not setting policy myself.

However, as I have always done, with or without the official rank normally associated with consulting and advising Top Brass, President PigInZen will hear my opinion and suggestions.. and if we disagree he'll hear them loud and convincingly. I've never been shy of questioning the sanity of my superior officers in private and suggesting alternative plans of action, but ultimately I am a Soldier and I follow orders. Independent as I am, I enjoy following competent leadership and am confident that President PigInZen will provide that not only for me but for our country.

Nice vague answer, huh? See, I'm already learning how to be a politician. Let's try that again.

We need to revisit our place in the EDEN Alliance. There were misgivings about joining EDEN, and ultimately we did so because there seemed no other option. I say other options were not explored, that we saw "EDEN or Neutrality" as the only choices. I will work with President PigInZen and our Diplomatic Corps to develop other alternatives to EDEN membership which will preserve the security of our closest and most valued true allies and not hold us obligated to unstable and unreliable partners.
We can exert our influence to either fix EDEN or leave EDEN, as friendly and cooperative as possible in political, military and economic relations. But we cannot continue to have our own Foreign Relations dictated from a position of "junior partner" as has become the case.

eAmerica is a nation worthy of leadership on a worldwide scale. Our ability to innovate, to mobilize our greatest minds as well as our might, gives us a huge advantage toward achieving domestic stability in part through strong Foreign Policy.
Strong leadership abroad starts with Strong leadership at home.
