Do You Have What It Takes?

I CAN'T HEEEEEEAR YOU!

Dateline: Friday July 21, 2011 (Day 1,339)
Location: MCRD, San Diego
Reporter: USMC Recruit Private George Armstrong "Old Man" Custer

Current Status & Light Update

Still have some storage space if anyone wants to Donate Q5 tanks to the Challenge Coin stash-- now at 2500 tanks, I guarantee at least 3000 Q5's will be distributed in the upcoming Challenge Coins VII (the redux): Canadian Assistance campaign.

Watch the Marine Corps' newest newspaper, Halls of Montezuma, for an update and details on how to participate-- I hope to see every US "super tank" on board, making the best use of available resources, to help Canada RW back a region or two early next week.

Tentative schedule:
Sunday update with a sign-up sheet and maybe early supply in advance (to clear storage space, to accommodate more donations)
Monday we fight for Canada.

I'm in daily communication with Canadian President Sperry, and expect to be in touch with Canada's battle commanders in time to coordinate efforts with them.
On this end, I'll be drafting a couple of volunteers to man the IRC room and help with supply distribution. If you looked in the mirror this morning and saw a great big neon sign reading "sucker!" on your forehead, I'm probably talking about you.

There'll be free Q5 tanks for a full set of fights for anyone who joins in the fun (you'll cover your own transport and food), and heavy hitters who wish to go extra rounds will get additional tanks as long as supplies last. All participants will be awarded a special Brolliance Challenge Coin.

Requirements to Participate:
You must be a citizen of the US or Allied country.
There will be a sign-up sheet, and an IRC room will be available to us.
I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

Disclaimer:
This is an independent volunteer effort, not sanctioned by the USMarines, JCS Military, or US Government.
Participation is in addition to, not instead of, following regular fight orders.

Announcements:

As of this writing, Canada consists of Ontario, Quebec, and Newfie-Labrador.
Even as they make progress on their own, I'm sure there'll be plenty of Canada for us to help liberate come next week.

Recent Payouts:
Challenge Coins VII to fight for Canada... 140 tanks
Challenge Coins VI to Volunteers of America... 140 tanks
Challenge Coins V to American Golden Eagles... 50 tanks.
Challenge Coins IV to "Super Tanks".. 140 tanks.

Recent Donations:

Looking to see Donations from people who have not donated before-- the regular sponsors have done SO much already, isn't it your turn now?

Recent Purchases:
140 Q5 tanks (on my own dime) to replace those given away in this misadventure.
5 Q5 tanks (4 with John Killah's funds, one with my own).
I kicked in just over 500 Q5 tanks to boost the stock to current level.

Current Stock:
2500 Q5 tanks.
Challenge Coin stash will no longer be held at the Marketplace.

Send donations of your excess production or cash overflow directly to me, I do keep track and don't use them for myself. Your contribution will be acknowledged in the paper. I give tanks to USMilitary soldiers and branches, as well as civilians and members of other US fighting forces. Pretty straightforward proposition.

Readers are asked to use this form to nominate future Challenge Coin honorees.

If you want to join the any branch of the USMilitary, the Training Corps is the place to start.

Do you have what it takes to be a Marine?
4000 strength, rank of General, 940 minimum influence per fight with no weapon
