Canada Deserves Better

I am Disappointed. Irritated. Irked. Disturbed. The list could really go on and on, in fact.

However what is the most fitting adjective of all? Disappointed. I am disappointed in just about everything right now. I am highly disappointed in our country in its present state. The country deserves better. Canada deserves better than Wally Cleaver.

For a citizen coming from a “military dictatorship”, he does not seem to understand the value of a funded military. When funds were not being distributed to the MU’s, I wrote an article calling for the swift distribution of funds which should have been unnecessary. The funds had already been allotted in the previous budget. Instead, the funds sat there unused. When Wally got control of the Org, he took the money and trolled the Canadian public for a quick laugh. For most of the day, he made it appear as though he stole and intended to keep the money. The money should have immediately been distributed to the MU’s. Instead, it appears a prank was more in order. Its irresponsible. Instead of pranking the public, the money should have gone to MU’s to support our allies. Which brings me to another point...

Foreign Affairs. The way that foreign affairs are being conducted should shock everyone. Not in who we ally with, but in how he has proceeded to do so. We have allied with Indonesia, and Bulgaria. We almost allied with New Zealand. Had Congress not wised up, we would be facing a major shift in our foreign positioning. This is all WITHOUT consulting, debating with, or providing any information to Congress. As Minister of Information, it has been my job to inform the Canadian populace of government activities. When I PM’d Wally about foreign affairs, I got no response. I am not opposed to the idea of allying with other nations. I am opposed to the way in which he has done it. If he has a plan, he is not willing to share it with the Canadian people. He wants to keep you in the dark.

This blindness which he wishes to perpetuate on the Canadian people is the most egregious action he has taken thus far. Many people may be willing to create new allies and change our foreign policy. However, Wally has decided to keep Canada in the dark. By not presenting his plans, he wanted Congress to blindly pass MPP’s and go along with everything he proposed. Enough is enough. He cannot keep Canada and its Congress uninformed for any longer. This can be seen with the New Zealand treaty. Congress is willing to fight back and pressure Wally Cleaver into releasing his plans.

In order for Wally to get any plans passed, he must now present his plans to the Canadian people. For now, Congress will be calling the shots. As many people may or may not know, CPF and Clan Wolf command the simple majority of Congress. As such, we can effectively block all treaties and other “lulz” proposals of Wally Cleaver. He has shown himself to be an untrustworthy figure during this term. If he does not present detailed plans to the Canadian people, then we will block it. Wally has shown every reason to distrust him. In order to bring validity and authority back into his leadership, he must give us reason to trust him. Congress could very well support him. Congress can easily compromise and come to consensus, however he must show us something we can compromise with.

We will not stand to let a dictator run our government when he has no right and no majority to enforce it. Without a clear plan, vision, or the opportunity for information and debate, we will not support this government. Congress can take control of foreign and internal policy, if needed. I am confident that the Canadian people will not take the upcoming congressional elections lightly. When Canadians go to the polls, I do believe we will see a sizeable amount of influence lost by the Coalition.

A storm is Coming Mr. Cleaver. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

I am no longer willing to be associated with this corrupt, irresponsible and inaccessible President. I am a man of principle, and as such I cannot and will not compromise my ethics and principles. I cannot support a President that refuses to inform the populace of its decisions and vision. I hereby resign from my position as Minister of Information. I will still continue to inform the Canadian public about the government and its actions, but not in an official government capacity.

This was Wally’s only true promise in his platform:
“I will not promise a resolution to our financial woes nor to the threat of invasion by the eUSA (if it comes to that), but I do however offer experience, a deep understanding of game mechanics, and an ability to effectively address any situation.”

We call on Wally to keep his promise. Address the situation before you. Address Congress. Address the Canadian people. Inform us. Get Congress involved. Don’t put a blindfold on the Canadian people and attempt to lead us down a path of your choosing.

The undersigned Congressmen, Party Presidents and other citizens of note hereby commit to pressuring Wally Cleaver to unveil his plans and provide stable, committed leadership to eCanada. We are committed to creating debate on his ideas and working for the betterment of our great nation. If he does not comply, the undersigned have committed to blocking all proposals of his that run counter to established Canadian policy.
