Can Patton into Ireland.... Again ?
patton
So, elections are in a few hours and I find myself beset on all sides, facing an aggressive Labour push to finally take control of the government. It's actually kind of exciting to see the Labour machine with its numerous articles and ads pushing for Ireland's top spot. The level of organization and enthusiasm certainly shows that Labour seems to be the party to be a part of. The only question it begs to me ask is where was all this election time criticism during the month ? Perhaps they were too busy with our new constant wars and deployments 😉
Why Me ?
My main criticism seems to be complacency and old erepublik age. Even though I delivered on my promises of an improved and V2-ready IDF and an increased presence on the world stage, I have done nothing. But...Irishbhoy seems to be credited with everything accomplished during my term.
Story Time
So, let's say you have a Corporation. We'll call it Widget LLC. There is a CEO and then there are various VPs that are in charge of different areas of production. The CEO manages all of these VPs and makes sure they are on track and to help him with the abundance of work he has on his plate. Let's say one of these VPs is in charge of sales. The VP secures several large deals and helps to create revenue for the company, but this is only a small part of the company's success. There are many other hard-working VPs who contribute. And managing them all is a CEO who makes sure they're doing their jobs.
Story Time Explained
Does the VP of sales deserve credit? Of course. He made the sales. He helped the company. But does that mean no credit is given to the CEO who hired him and set his agenda in the first place?
Irishbhoy is an invaluable member of my cabinet. He has done all of the things that he claims to have done in the area of Foreign Affairs. But the articles of his Labour allies say that I had no part in the successes of our MoFA. In effect, implying that I did nothing my entire term.
Wrong. I set the agenda. I decided to pursue closer relations with Brolliance. I finalized the deals. Without my say-so, none of that could have been accomplished.
Now for the Meat and Potatoes
Military
Contrary to some politicians' beliefs, the IDF does NOT deploy aimlessly. All deployments this month have had the dual purpose of helping our allies AND improving the efficiency of the IDF. Before this month, the IDF was a mess. Weapons were never issued and units were completely inactive. This month, the IDF was prepared for V2 AND re-energized. The deployments forced units to become active and cohesive, and streamlined our weapon distribution system. Now the IDF is an effective fighting war that our allies can rely on in times of war.
Foreign Affairs
Once again my top two priorities are the military and foreign affairs. The MoFA team has accomplished great things for us but we need to continue to build on it. Also we need to continue to add new allies. While Brolliance is great their is nothing wrong with building new friendships . This month we helped out India and SA both non-Bro nations. If we can I would like to expand this and earn Ireland as many international friends as possible. Also perhaps we could move back to the days when ambassadors published reports on their assigned countries in the media.
Finance
Not many of you know this but the past few days Ireland has been dealing with a mini-financial crisis. The market was buying huge amounts of IEP and only through the careful stewardship of the MoF and private citizens like Nogin and Appleman were we able to make it through without a serious destabilization of our currency. Ireland can never forget we live in a fragile economic state and that we must always be on the lookout for eRaiders trying to hurt us.
Community
Irish Princess got off to a great start with 3 new and fun competitions. However, over the course of the fun she was unable to continue with the new games. Unfortunately she was hit with about 6 ten page term papers at the same time 🙁
Now, Princess is out for the summer and will give Ireland a Ministry of Community that it has never seen before, provided I win 😉
Industry
Ireland's Ministry of Industry is essential to the continuance of successful deployments. IB states " whether it is viable to have a state Q5 weapons company at all if it continues as it is " Im all about " viability but I cant see how a Q5 company with super cheap, high skill level workers that distributes weapons to our elite troops isnt viable. I want to make sure our elite troops continue to receive the high quality weapons that they slave over to get. In addition to elite troops I want to make sure that all troops receive weapons from the IDF for engagements. With a tiny country like Ireland we need to rank up our soldiers as fast as possible and I cant see a better way then getting it for free.
Education
As many people say I have been here a long time. Yet in that long time Im not sure If I ever saw a fully functioning Education Ministry. My thoughts on it arent that the Ministers are incompetent but that the Ministry itself is flawed. I think the Education Ministry should refocus itself . I think the next MoE and his team should instead spending their time creating personalized guides to Ireland for newbies as well as being in charge of updating the wiki
Why me Again ?
Some people have said that the only thing I have over IB is old age/experience. I call crap. I have an established track record of bringing this island together and getting things done. There has never been a Patton administration which made Ireland move backwards and I dont intend to start now. If you vote me in again I will not disappoint.

Go Patton!
o/ Irish bros
Whether you are elected or not, you should strive to make your goals achieved.
I thought you were a good president, and I'd be honored to serve under you or IrishBhoy.
Bristel, TD Dublin, Ambassador to eMexico, eParaguay and ePeru
humz... many things to ponder here amigo...
1) into eUK? oops...
I wish Weedabixxx. The British were all geared up to attack us and we were ready for them. Too bad their Phoenix masters told them they cant play with us 🙂 Dont worry we helped drive them back in Norway
Was an excellent term Patton, and I'm hoping for another one!
Patton can 🙂
Patton, you are a good person, and you have done great things. However I do believe in giving others the chance to do great things also. Why should you be voted in again, when we have others who should have the chance to be the CP instead of sticking with the people with the highest experience points.
You are a great figure in eIreland, but someone else needs to hold the reigns for a while, and I will vote to make that happen.
/me slings poop
If only to keep the Labour party out of power, you have my support, Patton. 🙂
The above comment is deserving of a big slap...
Vote patton, deserves it 🙂
Great term lets keep the same.
But Irishbhoy says he loves us 🙂
Good job Patton nobody is questioning that, but sometimes the CEO steps aside to let others make their impact
U got my vote ! Nothing against Ibhoy i really lke the guy and his hard work esp with ICA,but i just dont like nor trust that the labour party has Irelands best interests at heart
Good Luck! Thanks for the hard work getting Ireland on the right path the last month.
Also, wasn't ♥IP♥ just poking at people about the use of "The Polish Space Programme" lingo? 😉
"U got my vote ! Nothing against Ibhoy i really lke the guy and his hard work esp with ICA,but i just dont like nor trust that the labour party has Irelands best interests at heart "
What have we ever done to suggest that Cas?
"If only to keep the Labour party out of power, you have my support, Patton. 🙂"
That's right, we can smell your fear, and we go straight for the throat.
Brian - Im shaking in my boots 🙂
Cpl Useless - Yeah I had to explain that to her 😉
hmmmm
What is the intention re supporting Japanese aggression against eSK atm? I'd like to hear your view on that patton, and what the line from your Brolliance buds is going to be?
I won't be making any voting choices til I get some clarity on that.
Thanks.
Of course patton can into Ireland again. You were brilliant last term and the only disappointment was that IP wasn't able to sustain her community efforts which was understandable and thankfully will be resolved.
4 more years, 4 more years...I mean 1 more month, 1 more month! lol
The Brolliance is a defensive pact. That has been agreed from the start. We would not be obliged to take part in any offensive measures whatsoever.
@ Grainne: oh the concern for eSK invasions.... but not PTOs it seems 😛
Definately an article that will address some concerns abuot your reelection. Nicely laid out in easy to understand terms aswell. Gonna be an interesting election...
Sorry SP, not getting your point there? Srsly?
Thx for the reply on this issue Irishbhoy, but I guess I'm looking for eIreland's stance, rather than the framework loophole agreements.
So, any official say on this, please?
From you, patton, or anyone else?
I kinda find it relevant to voting.
Thx.
That's a decent read.
I guess I have nothing to compare Patton too as I joined in April.
I joined when the IDF was in full organisation and I've never had trouble with getting weapons and supplies.
Would a Minister for Education deal with schooling new members?
That's something I really needed help with (still do) when I first joined. I remember fighting down to 30 wellness at the begining and I've only recently gotten back into the 80's.
Still standing by my X Corps idea even if she falls on deaf ears :I
go patton
go patton
Can Patton into Ireland.... Again ?
No.
@ Grainne : thought it was obvious I was referring to the theos previous PTO of eSK 😉
oh, you consider it a PTO?
I don't, there's the confusion 🙂
Particularly considering it was the only stable, active, and inclusive leadership that eSK has ever had, the only successful period it ever had as a nation, as as we handed over everything when we left in a throroughly organised manner, only to be trashed by the nooby locals, ofc.
Oh, and as I lived there a while, I have a solid understanding of it.
If Ireland considers itself to be a supporter of Japan, it should indulge in a little education as to her past form.
A PTO refers to the method of achieving power.... whatever is done after grabbing hold of power may be benevolent or malevolent it makes no difference😉
That's democracy for ya... the locals tend not to favour the foreign organisations running things in their own interests rather than the nations 😉 Then again.... it was probably just the crazy taxes they dislike!
Go Patton!
Yarg! Voted Patton and voted article.
Nah Sean, sorry mate but your definitions are a bit off, as is your analysis.
But I don't expect any foreign intelligence or propaganda reading to be as valid as anyone's direct experience, of any regime.
Anyway, this wasn't about Theocracy, it was about me asking Irelands stance in support of a Japanese agression on eSK.
Any chance of a view, a statement, or even a gut-rumbling?
Come on lads, this is meant to be an election campaign. Why's no-one asking any questions these days, only back-slappin !?
Go Patton! "the IDF does NOT deploy aimlessly" - Amen to this.
lol... my definition of a PTO as a method of assuming power in a country is abit off? 😉 was it not an organised and tactical takeover planned from overseas (switzerland... or possibly whereever they stopped for a rest on the way to eSK) and then carried out?! sounds like a PTO to me.... for the good of eSK of course! 😉
Thankfully, Grainne, you didn't actively partake in the initial PTO by the theos... you were in eIreland at the time 😉 But ya my analysis of the regime in place after the PTO of eSK was crude and tongue in cheek 😛
As to a response... I imagine it'll go something like "foreign policy stances are formed on global realities rather than hypothetical scenarios which may or may not occur" 😉
Lol @ your response 🙂 But glad to get one from SOMEONE.
(but bigger lol on your Theo opinion, nope, still miles away 😉 )
Oh yeah, and as it may well "occur" tomorrow, kinda worth a quick stab at it, from a Presidential Candidate, wouldn't you agree?
Good luck ole man. Let the kids wait another month.
Title...grammar...Princess...dying...
🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁
Patton:
You put that title to make the Princess pout, didn't you? Very unflitterific, mister. Very.
♥
@Princess: It's a kind of Internet meme, I think. I've heard it loads of times. It's very poor grammar in RL but on the Internet it seems to be okay to say it.
@John: The Princess understands the informality of the Internet, but still shudders at the obvious trend of people embracing non-existant grammatical structures used to speak to one another.
It's called "Web Speak" and there are tons of new studies going on concerning its impact on the overall writing environment offline, especially in the area of Business.
There was a great study I found a few months ago about the over-emphasis of technology and its importance (especially in the classroom environment). The argument was that although things like research and math problems are more easily accessible, and therefore result in what seems to be progress because of this new technology, the technology simultaneously hinders students' capabilities in the areas of grammatical structures and even spelling.
Seriously, what would most of the world do without spellcheck?
Just something to think about.
♥
And now we know.
hell at this stage,, why dont we just crown you... it would save quite abit of time to be honest..
I hate the labour party
