well it should, I've felt like my past PP goals in June were great ones, so I took my June Platform revised it and added more goals and more depth. Enjoy.



This banner has really paid for itself over the past year. 😉


Ahohoy! This is my Final Intent to become DAL PP, this has been my 6th attempt, and is turning out to be my best chance at winning. A little about me; I’ve been elected into congress 3 times, I’m the founder of Meals on Wheels Canada, as well as the current Minister of Health and Human Services for 4 terms, I also have held numerous positions in the DAL such as Charity Director and DAL Grain Manager.

I live in Vancouver, British Columbia, in real life. I have a passion for politics as well as I hope to become my school’s Student Council President in about 2 years.

Why do I want to run? I want to run to reform the DAL. I want to create a more efficient system that will get everyone in the party involved with events and projects. As of late, much inactivity has been going on and many projects that are important to the DAL have not been finished, such as the revised DAL Platform. I want to run to finally show DAL what I can do for it, and what leadership abilities I have. I want to make sure the DAL’s active populous continues to rise and that our forums are bustling with exciting topics. I want to run to make sure DAL has a powerful stance in congress as well as eCanadian Politics in general. I want to run to create a better connection with the regular citizen and the DAL Party. I want to make sure that this upcoming Party President Term will be the DAL’s best.




Congressional Week

During this upcoming congressional week, I will be working furiously to get our candidates in place earlier, as well as strategic placements and public awareness of our candidates. By the 16th I will open up Congressional Sign-ups. I will then place anyone who wants to run into different Group polls on the 18th(Group A-D etc..) from these polls, members can vote to who they think are the DAL’s most hardworking people are. The people who wind up with the most votes on the 20th will be placed at the top of the placement priority list. After all regions have been assigned in order of the poll’s results (most votes to least votes), I will post the final placement list on August 21st , where we can fill any open positions to anyone else who is left to run.

From there, starting on the 23rd numerous newspaper articles embracing and showcasing our candidates will take place such as “DAL’s congress team!” or articles about candidates who are in very competitive regions that need a public boost. Many Citizen Ads will be in place, targeting specific regions, and the nation as whole. This strategic plan was used by Chochi in the previous May Congress Election, and in my opinion, it went fairly well, and so I will continue this plan to ensure and even greater victory. Input from party members on how to even create a better congressional run are always appreciated and will be taken into serious consideration!




The Executive Team

As most of you should know, I have been revealing “Executive” Team positions over the past week. Well what do these positions include? There will be Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Communications, Vice President of Political Affairs and the Chief Administrative Officer. As PP, I do not want just 1 VP, I want a whole set of them! With a team of Vice Presidents it will be much easier and more efficient to get work done. Each of the VPs will be in charge of their respective department and will have access to their specific org, and have powers like “hiring” members that are interested in working in that department. The Vice Presidents are expected to report to the PP on a regular basis.

On the 16th, a thread will be opened for anyone who is interested in becoming one of the positions, candidates will have to write up a short paragraph on why they are the best to choose. By the 18th, positions sign-ups will end and on the 19th, a poll for each of the 4 electoral positions will take place. By June 23rd, elections will end and the DAL will have its very first Executive Team. What each of these people will do will be further elaborated in my presentation.




Democratic Action League Operations

I bet you can all guess who’s going to be the “director” of this department! That’s right; the Vice President of Operations will take on a huge role! This person will be mainly in charge of directing and handling any Charity Work or DAL Industrial work. This Vice President will have the choice of hiring a manager for each of the Moving Ticket and Oil Company we possess, in order to help run the industries, which brings me to my next point.

Now is the key time to resurrect our DAL Oil Company, as well as Moving Ticket Company. The number of oil companies that have been functioning lately has been dwindling. It is now that we should get the Oil Company back up and running as I see a foreseeable profit. We were making much profit from our Oil Company before the shutdown, so why not try again? I thank our wage-cut employees who are DAL Members for offering their generous services to make this possible. I hope to be able to resurrect the Moving Ticket Company as well! With this, we will be able to provide for our own Moving Tickets for congressionals.

Now, the DAL Charity. This is a key department of the DAL as it has been a tool to attract our young and potential members. I wish to increase the activity of this. Once again, the Vice President of Operations will have the choice of hiring a Charity Worker who will help find young players within our own party and outside the party who are in need of health or happiness. I hope we will be able to establish a daily line of at least 2 -3 members and non members who will require charity! This way, we can embrace the DAL as a young player oriented, generous, rich and powerful party! Muwhaha. The Vice President of Operations will also be in charge of creating a simple yet efficient system for the Charity and how to provide food.

Another topic that has been brought up is to buy a Food Company to help supply the Charity. I fully support this motion because it would be fairly cost effective for the DAL to supply Food ourselves. In the coming week, the admins will remove the automatic food consumption and allowing players to consume what they wish. This will bring another bonus for our Charity as we can now use the Food similarly to gifts, but increase Health and Happiness even higher!





Communications

The Vice President of Membership Communications will also be a large role! This role will undertake the powerful DAL Bulletin Newspaper! From there, the Vice President will be given orders for the Party President about any specific articles they wish to post. Also, this Vice President will be in charge of publishing anyone else’s articles. This Vice President will have the power to hire a Newspaper Editor who will assist the Vice President in writing articles, brainstorming, editing and more!

Another job for the Vice President of Membership Communications will be to Mass PM, whether it be towards the entire party, a specific regions or eCanada. Mass PMing will be a major and hard thing to do, so he Vice President will have the option of hiring a Mass PMer to occasionally help them to do this. Mass PMs will become gravely important in recruiting details, and elections.

This is a fairly key position in the DAL, and something that can be easily improved upon. I will be looking for creative writers and hardworkers for this position.

Deadlines for articles for the Vice Presidents will be set and be required to meet, unless an unfortunate event occurs.




Political Affairs

The Vice President of Political Affairs will be in charge of this department! This position will also be very important as it will be used to inform the party, as well as keep our congressman in track. The Political Affairs Vice President will be very active in the eCanada forums, and this position will be elected after Congressionals. Why? Because this person will have to constantly update he Congress Section, and PM our congress members to tell them what to vote for, and what the current situation is, therefore he or she must have congress access.

Sign-ups for this position will begin on the 26th, followed by a 24 hour poll on the 28th. Why so soon? Because many proposals happy fairly quickly, and we will need our political affairs VP ASAP.

Also, this Vice President will be assisted by the Party President to help get our Party Ambassadors in order. He or she will be responsible for getting Ambassadors for every major party, as well as making sure our party ambassadors are doing a fairly good job with keeping reports and communicating with their respective party. This Vice President will also have permission to announce any important events regarding Parliament Hill, if need be.




Administrative

Now, how do you think I’m going to keep all these things in order?! Well, that will be up to the Chief Administrative Officer. This Vice President will be in charge of keeping a track on how all other departments are working and what they’re doing. They will keep track of the money flowing out and in of the DAL. This role will be a minor one, so the CAO will have duties to help all other departments, with recruiting, PMs, Charity Work, Industrial and DAL Updates! The Chief Administrative Officer reports directly to the Party President, and doesn’t necessarily have any special powers other than being allowed to have access to different DAL Organizations, as well as being able to post important announcements.

Antoher major job for the CAO will be to start drafting our Party Charter and getting to work on finishing our revised DAL Platform, more on this will be explained further down this Platform.




The DAL Documents

Now that eRepublik Rising has come about, we have many things to update. Primarily, we should focus on getting our DAL Platform done. There is much work to be done on that old thing, so our Chief Administrative Officer will be in charge of overlooking and supervising this. He or she must draft up revised sections of our Platform, which will be a lot of work, so I expect the DAL Membership to help us rethink our Platform so we can adjust it better to the new eRepublik Rising. Our DAL Platform is a key document, it provides much information on what the Party is about and provides potential members a way to see how the DAL best fits them as a party to join. Getting this project done will be a goal for me to get done before the end of my term.

The second document I will be looking at is a new Party Charter. You may be thinking, what’s the use for a Party Charter?! Well, it will provide much organization and clearance on DAL Inner-politics, such as what the PP can or can’t do, or what the powers of the VP are. The Party Charter will be used as a reference or guidance line of DAL Politics and how polls or projects should be carried out properly. Also, if in crimes were to happen, the Party Charter will provide instructions on what to do with the Criminal and what their punishment should be. The DAL Membership will have much control over what will go into our new Party Charter.




In Conclusion,

I am Artorius Perim, your potential DAL Party President! I want to finally create the DAL’s first Executive Team! I want to introduce a higher level of organization, as well as a higher level of activity and discussion throughout the DAL. I have worked for a year to achieve this position, and I know with your help we can do it. The DAL needs fresh ideas, fresh thoughts and a change of leadership. We need a fresh leader, someone who can bring the DAL to a better place of unity throughout the party and externally. And I’m exactly the man for the job.

Here is a detailed scheduled of planned events for the DAL in the first few weeks:

August 16th – Signs up for Vice President of Operations, Membership Communications and CAO open up.
August 16th – Sign ups for Congress open up.
August 18th – Congress Group Polls begin.
August 19th – Executive Team Polls begin.
August 21st – Final Congress Placement is posted.
August 23rd – Executive Team Polls end.
August 23rd – DAL Congress Team Campaigning begins.
August 26th – Vice President of Political Affairs sign up begins.
August 27th – DAL CP Support Sign-ups begin.
August 28th – Vice President of Political Affairs Poll begins.
August 29th – Vice President of Political Affairs is elected.
August 29th – DAL hosts its in-party Country President DAL Primary
August 30th– Complete poll for all candidates.
September 1st – DAL’s Official CP Candidate is chosen
September 14th – Deadline for new revised DAL Party Platform
September 14th – Deadline for new DAL Party Charter (If passes by a vote)
September 14th – Goal Date for achieving 700 members.


Of course, I have many other planned dates for things such as Recruitment campaigns, etc, but I have as of yet to finalize a date.
