1. Info about this newspaper

As the title of this issue implies, this is my first article. As such, it will take me awhile to catch onto formatting, inserting working links, etc., so please bare with me, as this is not my strong suite. Any tips and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Nevertheless, the purpose of this paper is to inform you mostly about me, my campaign, and any military or Congressional news that I find noteworthy. There are already plenty of very good newspapers out there, so my objective is not to enlighten the masses to some unknown truths per se. However, I will keep you up-to-date on any relevant news concerning myself or any other important issues that I feel need voiced. You get the picture.


2. Info about me

A. General Info

IRL I am your average college student; I am a three years into a Economics and Marketing double major. In game, I have been alive and kicking since May 11th of last year, and I have served continuously in the eUS Military since June 1st of last year as well. As of today, I have worked 331 days straight. I used to own a tickets company, but dumped it before the Citizen Module came into existence (One of my better decisions). I do not have a strong desire to run a company again, but I still find the economic side of this game interesting (my inner RL economist). As you can see, I am a fairly experienced player in this game.

B. Military Career Overview

I started in the Mobile Infantry, in June, in Charlie Two and became the commanding officer of Alpha Four in late July. In October, I was promoted to Alpha company executive officer. Subsequently, in November I was promoted again to Alpha company commanding officer. I retired from the MI in January with the rank of Lt. Colonel, and moved on to the Airborne, where I have been proudly serving since in 11/4. I have also participated in C.A.R.E., and encourage anyone who has the time to get in touch with Rod Damon and become involved in a really good program. In the MI and Airborne, I have proudly served under and with some of the best people in this game, including Deificus, Beerman616, GoalieBCSC, tsewell, (should I keep name-dropping?) and many others who put in many hours behind the scenes to keep the military ticking. I have also made most of my friends through the military, and encourage anyone to become part of a fun group of people.

C. Political Info

As I noted earlier, I started this paper to keep you up-to-date on my political activity. I have not been particularly active on the political front. I have voted many times before, but many of those votes have been cast in ATO operations (and PTO, anyone remember France?). However, I feel like it's time for me to become politically active. Frankly, I cannot think of a better time for me to enter politics either. I have watched this past month as some in Congress have been debating lulz crap, when they should have been focusing on V2 issues. Furthermore, I feel like the military is very underrepresented in Congress, and f*tards are over represented (that's a rant for another time). However, that is why I have joined the American Military Party. In case you haven't caught on yet, I am going to run for a Congressional seat later this month, and will make pertinent information available as it gets passed down. Finally, I'll publish a platform in the coming days.
