Country President Elections

With Country President (CP) elections ending at day change last night, the standard message stating that the Admin would be reviewing the election results was posted. While in the past, the admin have been heavily criticized for not taking action to correct electoral violations (ie. use of multis), this election the Admin have silenced that criticism, by stepping in and correcting the results in over a dozen elections by removing illegal votes. To read the Admin’s statement check out : http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/elections-day-no-cheating-allowed--1508778/1/20.

While in the vast majority of the elections the Admin alterations did not change the election results, the three most notable places (based on the impact on ATO/PTO operations) where the results did change were: eMalyasia, eSouth Africa, and eAustrailia.

In the case of eMalaysia, the adjustment of votes meant that the ATO groups lost 20 votes, allowing the PTOers continued control of the eNation by a slim 4 vote victory.

In the case of eSouth Africa, at the end of the day both Grimestone (ATO) and montaigne (PTO) were tied at 147 votes each, however after the adjustment montaigne was left with 141 and Grimestone with 134, thus giving a narrow lead to the eHungarian PTOers allowing them control of the CP position yet again.

By far the largest adjustment the Admin’s made to the election results occurred in eAustralia. At the end of the election it appeared that the eIndonesian led PTO group (AngelDemon aka Poison and Perish) had secured the win with a vote margin of 125. However in a shocking adjustment of the votes, it became clear the PTOers had cheated to a ridiculous level. With nearly half (~185) of their votes removed, ATO leader Hinokai had secured enough votes to win back the CP position for RL Australians.

In addition to the above ATO/PTO results, below is a brief listing of other eNations whose elections were part of major PTO/ATO operations:

eBolivia: PTOed – fanasimpson of the Movimento al Socialismo (eArgentinian led PTO) were successful in their PTO of the eNation.

eBosnia and Herzegovina : Not PTOed – Amir M and his Liberalna Stranka eBiH [Party] successfully held off the eSerbian PTO.

eDenmark : PTOed – Srbin kv of the Denmark for change Party was successful in the bid to continue the PTO of the eNation.

eThailand : PTOed – Luthfisnet of the Thai Democratic Party successfully continued the PTO of the eNation.

The eBalkans

Yesterday towards the end of the voting day, eCroatia launched an attack on the eSerbian-controlled region of Slavonia. The well-coordinated blitzkrieg, saw EDEN forces (of which eCroatia is a member) swell to over 900 soldiers within minutes of the commencement of the attack, securing 100% of the field quickly thereafter. Should eCroatia (and EDEN) be successful in their assault on Slavonia, eCroatia will have regained all of its original regions. The battle for Slavonia is slated to wrap up at 18:30 eRep time.

Meanwhile, just South of Slavonia in eBosnia and Herzegovina (eBiH); eSerbia, sensing that they would not be successful in the continued PTO of the eNation, coordinated an offensive to try an capture all of the eNations regions. eSerbia was quick to capture the regions of Brčko District and West Srpska Republic due to the eBiH retreating from the battles. In an attempt to strike a final blow, eSerbian ally eBulgaria attacked the last remaining region of eBiH: East Srpska. The battle for East Srpska is slated to end at 24:00 eRep time.

eSouth East Asia

As the details of the “land-swap agreement” between eIndia and eSerbia are still being worked out (as eIndia’s CP claims his account was hacked and Phoenix say that the eIndian CP was complacent in the deal) both eNatiosn seems to be operating as if it were some big mis-understanding. eIndia has attacked the eSerbian region of Sindu as a “training exercise” and eSerbia plans to release Tamil Nadu (its only remaining eIndian region) later today pending some resolution to their dealings with eIndonesia.

As previously reported, eSerbia was planning to move into eMalaysia then head south to occupy the high-titanium region of Northern Territory, Australia. However as of last night, eIndonesia had yet to agree to allow eSerbia to move to the region; as it would upset the current eIndonesian led PTO of eAustralian. The disagreement between the two Phoenix giants is expected to be sorted out today, with heavy consideration given to the results of the eAustralian CP elections (see above).

eSpain

While eSpain has seen success in recovering domestically from the actions of impeached CP Ramso, their bid to regain regions lost in the eAmericas has suffered greatly. Yesterday the eNation secured all of its original regions from the eUK’s attack on their soil, yet their regions in eMexico continue to cause them problems as the joint attacks from eVenezuela and eMexico resulted in the loss of the region of Southeast of Mexico.

Today eSpain faces off against a resistance force in their newly regained region of Oaxaca.

It also appears that the eSpanish media war with the eUK has relaxed somewhat with eUK news articles once again reaching the top 5 spots.

eIreland

Yesterday, the eIrish Department of Defense issued the following orders to citizens: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/dod-orders-day-1-020-1508363/1/20

Apparently, Niall H, a long-time eIrish government official and citizen (who currently resides in Manitoba, Canada) has taken it upon himself to lock down the government until the rampant in fighting between leaders calms. Niall H has found support for his action from outgoing Country President Snakeyes. While the country, like all others, elected a new President yesterday, it appears that control of government orgs and assets are not being transferred over to the new leadership.
