Alliances have come and gone, some have shown strength and perseverance others weakness and disorganization. In today’s world PEACE, EDEN, and Broliance are the 3 main alliances that have managed to survive this world war and remain intact...so far. War, although discomforting and chaotic does have positive effects, besides the obvious economic benefits of war a war can also decide the fate of an alliance. It’ll either bring an alliance unity and thus strength or corruption, disorganization and thus weakness. We all know what war did to a corrupt and bloodthirsty Atlantis.
To EDEN, first it crippled it then like a trampoline it bounced it right back up. Today EDEN is a feared alliance, with enough fire power and MPPs to deter virtually any country or alliance from attacking. War has had the same effect on Broliance, although the newest of the three alliances its show resilience in battle and a cooperative spirit between its 2 members. Broliance also has the closes bond of any alliance, US and Canada are more then just allies, we are brothers. Thus BROliance.
PEACE
PEACE is an alliance forged in war. With the stumbling giant Atlantis attacking at random, PEACE was born. Corrupt and top heavy, Atlantis was toppled. With Atlantis defeated and disbanded PEACE was the obvious top dog of eRep. Its economic influence and military power was unmatched. But PEACE seemed too good to be true, and it was. Vengeance was born in the hearts of its top members and vengeance they got. Spain, Canada, USA, all where either completely taken over or chopped up beyond recognition. However PEACE failed to learn from its foe, Atlantis and it too became corrupt and bloodthirsty, refusing any sort of ceasefire it continued to pillage North America at will. Glory and gold became their top priority and ultimately they lost it all. One month+ of war has done absolutely nothing except rebuild USA into a world power, reenergize EDEN and create the now famous Broliance.
Perplexing
But perhaps the most perplexing transformation this war has brought to eRep is found in PEACE. It’s evident that PEACE has been taking some heavy losses. Epic failure in North America, then in Scandinavia, with ST6 and other militia groups systematically picking off PEACE territory holdings in Europe and Asia. Pressure has been mounting on Hungarian, Indonesian, and Russian shoulders to create some results in the war. Hungary was the first to give in to its basic morals and values, mercilessly invading the neutral country of Slovakia. Its claims and reasons for the invasion being rejected even by its allies. Indonesia has also recently found an scapegoat for its problems, declaring war on the neutral country of Malaysia.
A Country
These cowardly acts have resonated not just in EDEN and Broliance but also in PEACE it’s self. Many prominent PEACE loyalists have raised their objections in light of these recent acts. The biggest example of this is a country, Italy. They have been with PEACE for a long time. Always fighting by their side and doing their best for the war effort. But it’s now clear that the corruption and thoughtless acts PEACE has been showing have disturbed those who refuse to stoop so low a level that Hungary and Indonesia have. Italy has officially put into action measures that will cancel their membership in the PEACE alliance. Italy has been the first, it wouldn’t surprise me if they weren’t the last.
Hostility
PEACE acquired so many members not just because of Atlantis hostility but mainly because of its core values, to ensure the defense of any nation attacked by a foreign country, its commitment to peace and willingness to diplomatically solve its problems. It’s clear these values have gone out the window. PEACE is now acquiring the same image as Atlantis did, a stumbling giant attacking and invading at will, bloodthirsty and corrupt. PEACE stupidity is driving the few neutral countries left to either join the puppets or EDEN/Broliance and fight the tyranny PEACE has become. As long as PEACE held on to its values it had a chance, as long as it followed its morals it could maintain integrity. Today PEACE is a far cry from its original formation. This is but the beginning of the end for PEACE.

Editor's Corner - Be a Good Citizen
Human beings are used to living under laws and patterns that are dictated to us by society, but following those patterns does not make us good citizens. To be a good citizen first you have to be a good person. By that I mean that you have to be full of values, principles, ethics, etc. When joining all these aspects together you will find out that there is nothing else to be needed.
One important aspect for being a good citizen is to help people. All around us, we can see there are always people in need for our help. Our job as good citizens is to help those kinds of people. When talking about the people that need our help, I am not only talking about the poor ones, but also the pregnant woman who cannot carry a heavy package or the old man that cannot cross the street. Remember that little actions make the difference.
Another important thing we have to remember for being a good citizen is to have an active participation in our community. There are a lot of ways we can do that. When elections come for voting for the governor, we have to be in the line ready to give our vote. When there is a gathering of our neighborhood for deciding about the maintenance of the streets, we have to be there to tell our point of view.
The last recommendation for being a good citizen is the respect toward the people that live around us. We have to remember that as we have rights, they have them too. Respect is one of the most important bases when living in a society. We all have freedom, but it is restricted to certain point. We cannot consider a killer or thief good citizens as they have violated that restriction.
Through this essay, there have been exposed some ideas of what I think are the most important aspects for being good citizens inside a community. Now-a-days the relationships between people have been really deteriorated by misunderstandings that are generated day by day. To avoid having to deal with these kinds of situations, we have to be aware that the solution is in us. Values and ethics should be inculcated to people as they mature, as that kind of information will built them for being good citizens.
Effective citizens do simple, yet powerful, things - citizen actions - on a daily basis that keep our country strong, vital and free.

Good insights. I think another factor here is that with the new MPP cost coming down the road, some of these smaller PEACE countries are realizing they're not going to have MPPs with Hungary and Indonesia forever. Would be good to become 'neutral' and distance one's self from Hundonesia before that happens.

Precisely the things that we need, and always need more of - in real life, and in any multiplayer game. They do not seem convenient, but that is but an illusion - they make the difference. We need both good citizens and good leaders.
