Organization and Citizens in a Post V2 World

Last night I talked with a very good friend of mine. A former JCS member, and General of the Training Corps, she knows the military and has served with many of the people that I intend her to be working with over the coming month. She's been the Secretary of Defense before, but I've asked her to reprise that position with a drastically different role. The person I'm talking about, as I'm sure you all know, is Angelini.



Historically the Secretary of Defense has been a political favor. A pretty title without a huge amount of responsibility. This Secretary of Defense is not even similar.

So what's she gonna do?

Good question, you're becoming very good at this. The Secretary of Defense, in my administration at least, will be in charge of working with the Joint Chiefs of Staff in order to find the best way to organize civilians in the post V2 world. Before I go on, though, let me say that I intend to fully cooperate with the JCS, giving them whatever they need in order to allow our best military minds to work unhampered. Angelini will not be an interloper, she will be a liaison between the JCS and the rest of the executive branch, to get them what they need, whether it's gold, workers, articles, whatever. She will lead the Department of Defense in developing new strategies to organize civilians so that they can both fight and heal in a post V2 world.

But what about citizens? Won't it be hard for just one person to teach them?

Yep, and now that you mention it I've got another surprise for you. I plan to resurrect the Department of Education to take what the Department of Defense learns, and apply it to new players. What I see if the Department of Defense being so busy working with the JCS and trying to learn the tactics that another Department would be better suited to teaching the people. Fionia, my Vice President, has done an excellent job of bringing back the NAU (despite what any naysayers may believe), and under her Vice Presidency we intend to keep pushing education. From rebooting the Department of Education newspaper, to laying the groundwork for newbie guides in a post V2 world. Education and Communication with our citizens will be key, and I intend to make it a priority in my cabinet.
