[BK4POTUS] For Your Consideration

Day 1,322, 22:00 Published in USA USA by Blank Keating

Friends, Americans, countrymen,

I hope everyone had a safe and glorious 4th of July today. Much like the fireworks I just returned from, I'm kicking this article off with a bang. I present to you the second half of your civil servants should I be elected.

First half with Vice President, Chief of Staff, and Secretaries of Media and Interior.

Secretary of State: Paul Proteus

I picked Paul Proteus not only because he's experienced in the State department, but also because he can appeal to more allies than just the ones we have. A former president of Switzerland, Proteus has more contacts and connections than I can count. Also, a wise man once told me foreign affairs is solely based on how awesome other people think you are - Sir Broteus has that down.

Secretary of Defense: Alexander_Auctoritas

Mr. Auctoritas is the most qualified person in eRep that I can imagine for this position. A SF member with months of experience as a deputy Secretary and Arm America worker, A2 will be on the front lines, organizing and rallying the troops.

Secretary of Treasury: Anyonymous

Continuing his work as chief treasury guy, Anyonymous and his Econ Council friends will be doing their best to reverse the economical plague known as Admins, and explaining complicated number stuff slowly to me.

Now my friends, I've written a lot in the past five days. I still feel like I haven't addressed a topic though. I mean sure, I've covered my direction, staffing procedure, domestic policy, foreign affairs, handling of alliances, policy on militaries and militias, and every one who will be heading my cabinet.

But still. Something's missing. Oh, I know. An issue on "egoism", which has been a sticking point in for some articles this election.

I have good news for you: I'm not an egoist either. In fact, I'll go a step further - I don't care if you're an egoist. How you choose to play is how you choose to play. I'm sure some people come here with the stated goal of being a powerhungry megalomaniac, and if that's what gets them to stick around and contribute, then I say go for it.

Conflict, power, and structure are all things we create and they're the very things that make the game great. It's what drives us to make friends, get rivals, compete and create in the space we have. It's how our entire infrastructure came to be. It's why we care when someone tries to PTO us or inch us out even though we know it's just a stupid game.

Normally I avoid spamming the boobage, but this was too fitting.

I'm not here to dictate how you play the game, what niche you tackle or what group you help. I'm here to improve the quality of the game for every person who bears American citizenship. Being President is time-devouring work that I would only sign up for if I cared about and respected this community, even the people I've had run-ins with.

That means inclusive and well-funded programs, a mutually supportive alliance, and most importantly: liberated and defended home regions. That's what you can expect from my administration and that's a promise my team and I will follow through on.
