[BK4POTUS] The American Renaissance

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury,
Sorry for the late release, but I still make my deadlines 😛
Last article (and a couple articles back) I explained the trouble with recruiting in today's game. Even though it is an unjustly uphill battle, it is still a battle that needs to be waged. There are three points to ushering in the American Renaissance and making our nation a formidable legion of citizens again.
This is the citation.
1) Inclusiveness
First and foremost, Human Resources and/or Interns has to get running full speed again. Right now, the media is about the only way to puncture the Executive, and that's not for everyone.
I'm looking for new players to join my cabinet in real time and get fresh blood pumping into this arm of America. That's also why I'm allowing my Secretaries to pick their own deputies, I know as hard as I try I can't know of every new player to ever step foot into the game. More coverage, more inclusion.
Even after deputies are chosen and the barracks are full, I'll offer those applications not used to kick off the new human resources program.
That's right. All of these.
2) Transparency
Next is rejuvenating the media. The White House Press Release plays a critical role in connecting to the average Joe to the President and his wacky ideas, and I'll push for a WHPR at least once every three to five days. Even if everyone in the media department suddenly gets abducted by aliens, I'll write one myself if it comes down to it.
Also needed is further proliferation of the National Broadcast System, which me and Civil Anarchy have been updating daily for DoD orders and government articles. NBS, in my opinion, is the future of quick communication, and I'll try to get it more exposed as well as better staffed during my term.
We're expecting you.
3) Initiation
As history has proven (albeit with shady characters and overworked programs), mass messaging done right is a powerful retention tool. The simplest message can stop an average new player from saying "screw this" an hour later. I'll be investing some effort into seeing if mass messaging can be part of America's future again.
In tandem with that, I'll be doing my best to enhance programs like NBS and Mentors which present the game to the players instead of forcing them to search for it. As for getting people to the game, I have plenty of crazy notions there. Several countries have twitter accounts, some others with Facebook groups. These are things I'd like to experiment with.
Cabinet
Now that my tl;dr-tastic Renaissance theorems are out of the way, I present to you some of the crusaders who will be leading the charge in all of these endeavours.
Vice President: Marxus
If you haven't heard yet, Marxus and I have joined forces and I've taken him on as Vice President. His extensive experience in group management and party leadership will be helping me communicate and progress in situations I may not be used to.
Chief of Staff: Civil Anarchy
For the domestic kingpin, I chose Civil Anarchy because you'd be hard pressed to find someone with such a diverse internal affairs resume in today's age. CA kept the Department of Media chugging during Emerick's term and headed the Department of Interior this term, and I trust he'll be able to manage both and more with aplomb.
Secretary of the Interior: Lysander Spooner II (aka Bruce Sommer)
Bruce may be one of the hardest workers to grace the Department of Interior in the last half year. He's agreed to reprise his role as Secretary this month, and I'll be working close with him to man all of the stations in the Interior and put my crazy retention ideas into action.
Secretary of Media: Gnilraps
Probably known best from his exquisite reporting paper 16 Shells, Gnilraps will be sharing his media prowess to bring the WHPR and anything else he pleases to the American people. He's an enterprising and creative writer and I have no doubts he can jolt some life into the American media.

Good luck man. It kinda disturbs me to see No JCS Military representation in your Cabinet.
Also what do you plan to do to attempt to bring the JCS Military back into the fold so to speak? A lot of good people are out there waiting for someone who will actually work on it, not just make promises and then forget them the moment the damage is done.
When a large portion of your country doesn't care what happens with it, regardless of who's President, your chances of this "comeback" you all keep talking about it somewhat foolhardy.
Relorian: It's not through my design 😛 most of the JCS are supporters for Technician and don't want anything to do with me. Some people are coming into the app list now (late in), and you'll probably see some popping up as deputies.
@Relorian: I was JCS Military when I was first Secretary of the Interior and worked with Blank at that time, as he was Chief of Staff. Even though I'm not JCS Military now -- as I decided to move to USAF Special Forces so my influence could be used more effectively -- I do know the views of the JCS Military, having spent several months among them in the TC, USNG and Army. The day that the JCS Military leadership is willing to change their outlook and the way things are run so my influence can be used more effectively then the USAF Special Forces is using it now, I would be more than willing to apply to the ranks of the USMC. But in order for this to happen, the JCS leadership cannot let their personal views regarding our allies/alliances affect what campaigns they decide to participate in. They also need to be willing to actively participate in the National Security Channel and delegate multiple people, who are active at differing times, to make sure that the battle priorities set in the National Security Channel are communicated to the various Branch Order threads frequently and in a timely manner.
Lysander, Sad enough to say our Orders are more frequently updated than the DoD orders that trickle out. Most times I can log in, either look at the forums or go onto IRC and have the newest orders with where to fight, how hard to fight, secondary and tertiary battles.
I've actually been quite disappointed with the SecDef/Whomever posts the DOD orders as they lose us a good deal of damage by NOT updating their orders.
@Relorean: That's not something I've seen from personal experience. Even when people were in #usa-battle and available between mass attacks between 1800 and 2400 eRep time, when last login would change there, nobody could be bothered to update them in the JMO or Branch Orders. This was especially important as ONE would start their next campaign between 2300-2400 eRep time and the orders would still reflect those that were posted before the 1800 mass attacks started.
But you are correct that DoD Orders are frequently out of date also -- which there is no excuse for.
