[XG4CP] XG Platform 2. - Department of Defence & National Policy

Day 1,868, 05:37 Published in Australia Australia by Xavier Griffith

My Fellow Australians,

A Non-Agression Pact has now been agreed upon by both our own Senate and the Chilean Congress. I'm happy this has finally become official. With that, I also hereby present the second part of my platform if elected as Australia's new Prime Minister on January 5th, 2013.

The Military and the ADF

Our Military has become old, tired, wasteful and it is time we looked at re-organising it to better allow it to push out damage as well as allow new players to be provided for to help them edge further up and continue to do relatively good damage when needed.

There are several issues that will need to be looked at in regard to this, so I can commit to no serious promises on this, but it will be one of the first things that will be looked at should I win election, including:

1. The structure of the ADF
2. The Nation’s MUs and their incorporation into Government funding
3. The supply of extremely limited resources to both New people that join the ADF
4. The supply of extremely limited cash resources to our MUs should they wish to become Government Funded.
5. The ability of the DoD to work with both fields, a fully Government supported ADF and partially funded MUs.
6. The cost effectiveness of running both types of funding options.
7. whether there is double dipping, why and the cost effectiveness and ability of our nation to support this.

This review process and proposal will be fully investigated, discussed and the best options worked out. If the decision is to leave it as it currently operates or be changed, the Act will be presented to the Senate when ready for their further input and vote.

National Policy

As raised before in my first article, I will be creating the Department of Human Services to reach out to new players, find out where they need help, how we the Government can most effectively help them, how we get them involved in the nation and keep their involvement in the nation and the game. Some have already started on this, Callumh’s eAustralian Question Time and now his newer up and coming podcasts of Podcast4Newbs and the eAustralian History Channel which should be another way of introducing new players to eAustralia. We (my cabinet and I) will:

1. Talk and communicate with new players
2. find out how we can assist in getting them involved more with the nation, the game and the community.
3. advertising some of Callumh’s radio programs officially and assisting if we can
4. look at having his podcast episodes from selected areas hosted locally as well as on his TalkBlog and as official itunes podcasts for people to download (if he is happy for us to do that for him with my own iTunes developer account).
5. Open cabinet up to new players and inexperienced players that might want to get to know about how cabinet works and contribute and learn on the job and find out first hand what occurs.
6. Organising a revamp of the old Babyinfo site to the new Department of Human Services Site, which will include basic help information, a basic history of eAustralia, and anything extra we find would help new people better in game and intergrate with the community, effectively creating a National Library of information site.

I apologise for there still being no fluffy Cat pictures or Boob pictures for those that like them, but as i said, I take my PM candidacy seriously so won’t be using them. I will be presenting my Cabinet list for you before in the next couple of days, just before the election.

Regards

Xavier Griffith
