1: This Week’s Rank-up Callout

It’s hard to live in eUSA and not be aware that our government wants to help you rank up in Air Combat. (Reminder: Sign Up for GIMP!)

Well, the Vootsman administration would like to recognize and celebrate those citizens who have increased their rank during the previous week.

Congratulations to the following eUS Citizens who ranked up in Air Combat during the past week.

Achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant***
Johnathon Whisky
Harvey500

Achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant****
Squandered Future

Achieving the rank of Wing Commander
George Barker
Alberto Navarro 1958
RIIKATAN

Achieving the rank of Wing Commander*
X I M E N A

Achieving the rank of Group Captain
Diesel Roberts
GonzoVeritas

Remember, the most efficient way to build your citizen’s value on the battlefield is to spend your energy fighting in air combat battles (unless you have a significantly high strength, and if that’s you then you don’t need anyone telling you what to do!).

Reporting,
Gnilraps

2: The Chia Pet

Voots walked a circle around the perimeter of the room, watering plants on windowsills as he went, as was now his daily morning ritual. Rather than a white house pet, he had elected to have a large collection of flora. He stopped at a bonsai plant, admiring one of the many beautiful creations of nature.

Stormin opened the door and walked in unannounced. It’s not like it was an invasion of privacy though. This was the #oval-office, after all. In the same manic state that man seems to always be in, he starts reading off the items for the day without even saying hello.

“DMJ rearranged the access list for this room and the other business rooms according to cabinet department, because to be honest, it was getting a little crowded in here. People were getting cabin fever. The 3rd party IT contractor is still working on the new military monitoring tool, our foreign affairs team is adapting to the transition, and the Serbian MoFA wants to meet you at 5pm this evening.” He spoke so fast on a regular basis, it was like he was constantly worried about being late to get something done.

“What about the q7 stockpile idea?” Voots asked, remembering a discussion from the previous day that had been omitted from Stormin’s list. The VP flipped through pages on a clipboard.

“Yes, the cabinet has a meeting this morning to discuss it further.” Voots nodded in acknowledgement, and turned to stare more at one of his plants in particular: a chia pet of a marvel character. He had a dream last night that this one could talk, and that it liked to pick fights on discord and occasionally hurl racial slurs. It seemed the stress of the job was already getting to him. He decided to drink less caffeine before bed.

3: Interview with Cthulhu: Training War News and the DoI Website

Surprise interview!

First up, how's the transition going? Are the initial road bumps getting smoothed out as far as FA and TWs are concerned?

I would say the transition is nearly complete. The real question is, how are the transitions going with our allies. With somewhere between 75-85% of our coalition gone, you just gotta say "Yikes, and Holy F***!" We'll get there. Where there is, is up in the air right now.

I hear that Serbia's coming in for a new TW. How will that work out?

Serbia has been great through all of this. Vootfessor has been in contact with all of our allies, but thus far; they are the most active. We'll have a new Training War, They'll play with Poland's balls inside us. It'll be great.

I also heard that KingTaco has been locked in the Whitehouse basement so he can work on the DoI website and putting battle orders on it. Give us a rundown on what's being done.

Well, first of all he's locked Mel's basement with Paul Proteus. These two are not to be trusted with your daughters, cousins, or nieces. Picture John Belushi in Blue Brothers, "How much for your women? The little girl? How much?" As for Battle Orders, we have fired up the DOI website; and are now checking it daily. We've got (in no particular order) King Harambe, Aersidius, zRTx, Leroy Combs, Pyrrhus D. Cockhorn, KingTaco, ubuntu21, Thee Dude, and Stormin watching walls.

Finally, Stormin says he thinks you're cute or whatever and he wants to know if maybe someday soon or maybe this weekend or sometime idk whenever you're free, if you wanna hang out or something or whatever. Idk. What's your answer?

Stormin is no doubt cute, but pics first. Or what are his hobbies, you know buy me dinner or something. In all honesty, I'd recommend the Executive have a meeting at some point this weekend. Perhaps something on Discord, moderated by DMJ, Ironhof, and Paul would be in order. Or we can just go to the club and bounce and do the RockaWay?

4: CoS Interview with Thee Dude

surprise interview!

Hello and welcome, mr Dude. I've been seeing you around since I came back to the game, and I'm glad to see you're still here. I'm happy to be serving on a cab with you. I know this is Voot's first CP term, is this your first CoS term?

Glad to be here and happy to be serving with you as well.

I know this is Voot's first CP term, is this your first CoS term?

Yes, this my first term as CoS, and I’d like to thank CP Herr Vootsman for the incredible opportunity to serve the country.

What other cabinets have you served in? How did they go? Is there anything that stands out to you when you compare/contrast the different terms?

If memory serves correct, I started helping post RWs and BOs under CP Krapis as just a minor deputy at Interior. I continued with those duties under CP Tyler Bubblar and CP Cthulhu. I was far removed from the inner circles in those Administrations, so I only knew my little corner, so to speak. I can say that everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful, and a big factor on why I continue to work in government.

I got my chance under CP Chickensguys to run my own department. Two actually, DoE and DoI.
CP CG took over the RW posting himself which freed me up to concentrate on other things. We launched the very successful Chicken Feed program, helping to get food into the hands of our fighters. We increased the budget for CRAP and put together a list of the various assistance programs from around the eUSA, and generally kept the trains running on time. I can’t say enough about how well I was treated and supported by CP Chickensguys and the rest of the Cabinet.

It’s hard for me to compare Admins, as I was seeing the first three from a distance while playing my small role. I had a front row seat under CP CG, with much more to be responsible for. There’s no question that I learned so much more over the last three months than the first three months of my government service. So again, hard for me to compare.

What's been the biggest challenge so far this term?

Personally, time. Hands down. A huge jump in the amount of time I have to spend doing my job.
Administratively, RL reared its head and we’ve had to shuffle some things around and brought on board more people to help. But that problem is being sorted out and I feel like we’ve turned a corner.

Is the CoS position what you expected? How hard is it keeping everyone motivated?

Yes, it is what I expected, just way more intense but not difficult. Some players are self-starters, some are not. So far I haven’t had to really light a fire under any members of the Administration, but we all need reminders now and then, including myself. There’s a lot of energy here, and a big part of my job is to direct that energy where it needs to go in a positive manner.

Mr Dude, you're doing a fine job so far, thank you for serving the eUS o>

Well thank you for your kind words, and again thanks to CP Herr Vootsmen for this incredible opportunity to serve our country. o>
