Scrabman’s VP Pick
After serving 2 terms with president scrabman, Moishe has served our nation well as our vice president, providing needed insight to the scrabman administration. Moishe will be stepping down at the completion of this term due to other responsibilities. On behalf of the scrabman administration, we thank him for his service and wish him well in all future endeavors.
After much deliberation, president scrabman has decided to announce that his choice for VP will be Bastion, who is General of the acclaimed newly formed Mobile Infantry, formerly the 3rd division of the eUnited States National Guard. He is a very active citizen who will provide his military knowledge to the president for future operations as well as leadership as for all of our members of the Armed Forces.

Deputy Secretary of Defense
President scrabman has asked our SoD, tdwester to continue in his vital role to the president in leading our military forces. He has accepted and, with our large military, president scrabman has also asked General loftedraptor to assist as Deputy Secretary of Defense and to be a second-in-command if this is needed in the event of tdwester’s absense. Both tdwester and loftedraptor will make an excellent team that will provide solid leadership that will be able to handle any military situation we may face 24/7.

Air Force
Has eRepublik added supersonic jet fighters to our military capabilities? Not exactly. However, with an idea started by Jewitt and a little bit of creativity, the United States now has a branch of the military that is dedicated to fighting against political take-overs (PTOs) that our enemies will attempt against our present and future allies and/or domestic territories. Headed by General Kyle321n and Commander Josh Frost, the eUSAF gets it’s name from the moving tickets that will be used to instantly transport masses of voters across the eSky to any part of the world on election days to “fight” against attempts of foreign nations to overtake the congressional and presidential elections in the world.
Whether we like it or not, PTOs are part of the world today, as in the recent activity in Germany and South Africa and, on a positive note, how we were able to avert these attempts in Spain. We now have a fully operational voting Air Force which will operate in conjunction with our CIA which will use the latest intelligence data to quickly send them where they are needed. Due to its size and logistics involved, the eUSAF will be run by the military. Membership is open to citizens who will give up their vote here to be used in “fights” against PTOs and also open to existing members of the military who will be given leave for 2 days a month to participate.

Jedi Council
The political landscape of this country has developed into a volcanic arena of passionate rivalry between members of different political parties. The degree of involvement that people have who are dedicated to what they believe in, no matter what side of the political spectrum they hail from, is fantastic for a country who may have otherwise thought politics were boring (=O-). While this fervor of activity is great, there are times when streaks of emotion can turn one person’s assumptions into other people’s “facts” and, instead of working together for the progress of our nation, some of our politicians end up spending time fighting against personal attacks which are counterproductive to positive results.
For this reason, the Department of Interparty Relations has created a “Jedi Council” in which each political party will have its party president or other suitable representative to come together to decide on appropriate actions to be taken when members of a political party use personal attacks rather than valid political argument in order to further their cause. All of the top 10 political parties have intelligent people who bring wisdom and healthy debate which will further the progress of this growing nation. There are many great minds in these parties and the very few people who resort to personal attacks should not define the character of otherwise great political parties. As long as we can engage in healthy discussion, progress is inevitable and, to that end, the Jedi Council will have succeeded.
So that no one party has an unfair advantage, every one of the Top 10 political party presidents has been asked to join the Jedi Council or nominate another member of the party to give fair representation and equal participation in the council. The parties that have agreed to this “gentlemen’s agreement” and are willing to seek understanding and have healthy political debate to work for the progress of our nation are as follows:

(As you can see, the parties that have come to the Light side have a blue aura glowing around their entire party

Hopefully, all of the parties will be able to participate and have appropriate representation so that understanding and progress can occur. For those that have not yet sent a representative to the council, it’s understandable that your party president may not have taken the “Jedi Council” seriously and thought it was just something funny and deleted the messages. Pony Express
SirEkim would like to remind everyone to please sign up for the Pony Express organization. It is an organized group of newspaper voters that sends out messages to those who register in order to have them vote up articles of importance or government programs that don’t get as much exposure as they should. With the upcoming elections come PTO attempts and this group will also be used to vote up articles warning about PTOs.
Ekim would also like to announce that The Pony Express is currently setting up branches in foreign nations in order to help with their own articles as well as to provide a joined effort in voting up articles of international importance. He is setting up branches in Canada, the UK, and Spain.

Outstanding news about eUSAF. The realities of political warfare in the New World *require* us to get organized about how we play in this arena. Kudos to Congress for approving, and to Jewitt for taking the initiative to coalesce a number of ideas into a clear proposal.

In the meantime, what's left of Germany has just signed an MPP with Brazil, and is signing one with Indonesia.
Can't say that I blame them, although at this point, it may be like re-arranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

Jedi Council? Not only is that not creative, related to what it actually stands for, or even necessary -- it's just straight up lame and a sham. Obviously Scrab is doing this to shut down any real criticism of him that might pop up. God forbid that we should have any real free speech in this ecountry.
