[UK Gov] New Players Help

Two days ago I wrote to you concerning the need for new players in the eUK. This is only part of the problem. Some of you commented on that article and correctly stated that new players do us no good if they die at level 15 and quit the game.
This problem requires a solution.
Put differently, we need to retain new players.
In actual fact, there are schemes already in place to help do this. Not every player will want to use every scheme, but they’re there if needed. The rest of this article will outline very briefly some areas new players should look at- there’s free stuff and fun stuff, make use!

My retention factor was Bobloism. I propose that we introduce all newplayers to Bob Boblo's House to entice them to spam. This will give them a reason to stay on eRepublik and to browse the forums regularly (that is to see something other then pointless bickering over minor details about the eUK). Through Bobloism we can make the eUK competant again.

if the governmet proposes to gift food to players will the players with food and grain companies be compensated? iv got 3 grain and 2 food companies and i feel that lowering the food this contry needs to buy to survive by giving some away will mean that us producers will still need to sell the same ammount yet the need will be lower.. this will have a knock on effect with wages etc....
Also, that "Version 2011" guide is already hideously outdated really.

I am a newbie and earn about 25 GBP per day, this I spend on food anyway.
The govt gifts help us to level up quicker, fight more and keep us interested in the game!
Maybe the govt will buy the supplies they give away from your companies ? I personally will not be purchasing anything from "Gaz" companies
If you cant keep new players interested, then there will not be anyone to buy your goods.
Great links, the most important thing for new players is to be accepted into the community in my opinion.
yes i agree their is a need for new players and its a shame that the above player has chosen to boycot me for voicing a genuine concearn.. bit childish but its her game to play as she wishes. but the fact remains that the companies in existance are working in a low profit situation and i am woried that someone just giving food away will cause me real problems. someone said the gov may purchase the goods,, that would be fine but without any clarification it will cause worry for not only me but everyone who produces food.. i seriously doubt that gloria whatsherface will boycot every last food producer... or maybe she will... her game like i said.....
