Today, August 30, 2011, day 1379 of the new world, I would like to announce that I will be seeking the office of CP for September 2011.
While I did not win the August elections the votes were close and halfway through the term after Wally’s impeachment I found myself as your CP and I went straight to work.
With the ePortugal Training war already begun, I began to introduce myself to the CP of ePortugal so that I might get a dialogue going with him and work on the termination of the war. With the issues of the no NE votes, I spoke to the ePortugese CP and assured him I would make it happen and with an open line of communication and my word given to congress to find another NE for us, the war closed and I, along with the executive staff were able to smooth things over.
After that we turned our eyes to our bro’s in the eUSA and we spoke with Cerb and negotiated a land swap to help us gain oil and wheat to add to our production bonuses. The NE was proposed and the war opened, and thanks to some good communication we took our regions quickly and now enjoy a better production of both food and weapons to help eCanada.
Wisconsin was our battle to lose to give our bro’s the initiative and many eCanadians fought as requested for the bro’s and the battle was lost as we had wanted. I had asked members of congress to shout this request out to help spread the word and shout they did! While I do put out articles with the intent of keeping everyone informed as much as possible, this congress shout was a great help. Thank you to all who participated.
With the land swap underway, congress began talking about our funds and MU funding. The idea of our gold in reserve came up, and next the 50% off upgrades. I took to this idea and we began talking about a program to use our gold to help our MU’s buy companies to help them better supply their members.
In total this round we will have helped the CAF, HOPE, CoI and TCO acquire some Q5 companies that they wouldn’t have had otherwise.
Unfortunately bad communication has hindered and tainted this effort and most of the blame lies with me I’m ashamed to admit. It was rushed and I did what I thought was the right thing to do what congress had already agreed to, but I altered it as the timelines were off.

To those who do not agree with what I did, I apologize for losing your trust on this matter, but what was done was done with the best of intentions.
However, now we have our MU’s benefiting from this gold that wasn’t doing much in our treasury. I believe in the long run it will do us all good having used the gold in this way.
Now I am busy talking with our allies and the alliances on war options, and not a war like all the others, something new. I want to bring us a war we can fight on the offensive and win. I am trying to find us other region bonuses, such as fruits, and will continue to look at our options.
While I feel that I have done a good job with the half term I’ve been given, I also feel if I do not run again I will be leaving many things unfinished and I don’t want to do that.
So I leave it up to you eCanada, judge me on what I have done for you, and how I have done it, and how I have worked to keep you informed every step of the way, and when you go to vote on September 5th, vote for the best candidate.

Lets not forget the active participation as a CAF member in your role as CP in seeing their MU get special treatment in the form of ANOTHER Q5 weapon company

Thats a lie - Jacobi started this discussion under the heading "What HOPE needs" - from there it was decided they would get a 185 GOLD loan the next time the company upgrades were available. Checking the thread, you had LITTLE to do with it

Took TO this idea. I never said it was my idea, I said I took to it. As in I thought it a great idea and began taking the conversation further.
You say I gave the CAF special treatment, yet HOPE got something, CoI and TCO donations are about to be proposed.....
I'd say they all got special treatment, but then again I stand behind eCanada's MU's.
All MU's got an equal amount of gold out of this, Rolo. It was fair, despite what you might try to spin out to everyone else.
No they didn't Armour144. None of the MUs are getting the same amount at all. Hope got over 180 gold for 1 company, CAF 93 gold for 1 company. COI 35 gold for a raw, and TCO 140 gold and having to repay 70 of it. None of them are equal. lol
TCO has a time proven model of making use of ALL their companies and resources. CoI has been based on a Co-op of supply network since it's beginning. HOPE was desperate for the funding to FINALLY have the means to produce their own Q5 supplies
CAF on the other hand has let their Q5 companies lay in waste and not used at all, dependent solely on the governments dime since it's inception. As a matter of fact, I think government funds were ALREADY used to build the current stock of companies that lay useless in Coda's citizen account...
but sure, give them one more company, why not?, even bend the rules and change the conversation to do it
Maybe someone should have told them to put their current companies to full use BEFORE they go begging for another one and PROVE that the GOLD would be a good investment, as TCO, CoI and HOPE has already done over a long period of time...

Ironically Roger, the spirit of what #secretz was all about has pretty much come true - Don't think I don't smile just a little bit even though it came about in a round about way through game mechanics...
CAF is no longer the sole receiver of Government funding. One of my goals as CP and in the #secretz chats was to eliminate the favoritism showed to one group (CAF - which was controlled by an unelected few in a corrupt High Command)and spread it among the rest of the common citizenry
Now today, as you look around, with all the other citizens eligible for government funding through their MU's and a formula that gives the CAF simply it's share, not he entire pie - I would have to say it is a very popular and successful initiative..

@CFovetS HOPE has half of that gold as a loan, hence they really only were given 92.5 gold, the same as CAF.
TCO, on a per member basis, is recieving the same as CoI. This was shown in ODC, I'm sure you read it.
There is a discrepancy between the 92.5g and the 70g (since the other 70g was a loan portion), but TCO, and CoI didn't ask for more. They asked for what they wanted and they recieved it. No secret deals were made. Everything was fair.
Except the deal about Coda being refunded for previously built companies, that were previously built with government money anyways

You need look no further than Coda, and her actions as a member of the HC. The fact that others in there who have been party to these actions and run to defend them at every turn makes then essentially

If Coda was the current General, your argument might have merit, however since she is not the current General, she cannot possibly represent all of HC with her *alleged* actions.
As for the CAF books, they HAVE been opened to Congress, in CDC, just because you aren't in Congress doesn't mean no one has seen them.
Why do you people keep talking to the dead guy? If the bloated corpse brings up some BS spin that needs to be addressed you do that and then ignore everything else that comes from those fetid remains. I'd like to start with the longsword rebellion thread, then the thread about how Coda needs money and how those in High Command were going to hide the fleecing of that organization to meet Coda's personal funding needs
After that I am open to recommendation about what else we can inspect..

MFC got nothing so far. I don't know why MFC was excluded. But we will kindly ask the congress our part of the share too soon.
And the half donation, half loan deal made with the CAF was change to a personal donation to one of the member of their HC. We all know that CAF don't need this Q5 right now, and we don't know when they will use it. Therefore I don't know why CAF receive their part of the golds before CoI or TCO.
I will simply guess because the current CP is a member of CAF HC.

The spirit of "Project Mayhem" was that you could be a regular citizen and receive equal government funding without having to be under the thumb of the CAF High Command. You wouldn't have to "play ball" with their corruption to be in their club
That is what has been realized with the advent of MU's - Regular citizens join the MU of their choice. That MU is funded based on membership and activity, and those active citizens are then funded by the MU
It couldn't be any more perfect...
Max, firstly, the loan portion was completely chopped off, so the total gold donated was still the same as TCO. CAF got the donation before CoI and TCO because it was a time-sensitive thing. We were taking advantage of the cheap upgrades. The donation was not proposed in time, so Coda bought the company herself and the donation Congress passed was essentially repaying Coda for buying the company we should have given her the gold for in the first place. The Q5 is going to be used, don't worry about that.
😁 Why didn't Coda just use the 230 SPP Gold she was recently donated by the government. Or did she spend that already....?
Once again, that information is available somewhere in open door congress. I would invite you to look at it, but you aren't allowed in.

For the record, Coda had those companies LONG before they ever went on sale.
About a month ago I went looking through the "Lands" of higher ups in the CAF to see how many companies they were short to become "self sufficient" and Coda had AT LEAST 3 Q5s. She's at 4 now after claiming to have bought 2.
But the real problem in my books is that the CAF already had the companies to be completely self sufficient. Just looking up a few names in the HC and long time CAFers and I found 8 Q5 companies (2 food 6 weapon) that combined have 2 active employees in them.
At this point the CAF is attached to government's tit because they can be, not because they have to be. If they wanted to they could be completely self sufficient tomorrow.
And to respond to Roger Griswald, you probably don't want to start delving into the purpose of Project Mayhem. You're basing your opinion and perspective on Super-Sleuth Wes Lewis's discoveries, and not on anything that even resembles the truth.
One last thing. When I was flagged at "President" I still didn't have access to the lowest level CAF forums. And no accounting of how or where they spend their money has EVER been made public to congress.
