Good cherry-picking indeed, added with suggestive ''conclusions'' presented as hypocritical. Please note that I say ''kept befriended'', DESPITE changing allegiances which is a reality which I presume you are known with considering your long, remarkable career. In fact, I'm in good touch with both the Belgian and British governments and they are understanding of our position, especially considering the actions of your origin eCountry (eGermany) and especially willing to keep the stability in our region by means of friendly relations between the respective countries.
The annual eArgentina roflstomp of the eUK is a mere and rare event where our allegiances will indeed be at odds. What's the big deal? Friends aren't always agreeing on everything, either. Unless the author of this article is seeking to create that rift indeed, of course. I can't help it but to see this as an attempt of an eGerman to propagandize their backstab into the eNetherlands as something the eNL deserved, by painting them morally wrong, while that backstab is very reason why the stability of the region (of which UK & Germany are part of) is being threatened and the eNL had to seek alternatives in the first place.
And I don't see the point of the second quote. How are you not being independent by freely joining an alliance? The added image only contradicts that, in fact. But whatever makes one sleep, I guess.

I was a huge opponent of the attack on the netherlands. During the entire campaign my MU never had NL as primary DO.
But what you're rambling there is just bullshit. You argue on the basis that betraying the UK by signing a MPP with argentina doesn't count since 'one swallow doesn't make a spring'. Yet you refuse to apply that same logic on germany. I get that you're angry at germany and rightly so but you have no claim to the moral high ground that you unlawfully occupy in your comment.
Friends do not let bullies beat up their other friends like eUK and eBelgium.
If only I could count the countless screams I heard over the years how Argentina is a traditional friend. Now we sign a MPP with that traditional friend and suddenly its found strange, because they have a war with another traditional friend? You are looking for problems that arent there.

And I'm also noticing that the Daily Orders in the DAF seem rather contradictory lately. If our tradidional allies start fighting each other, it seems we remain rather neutral in actions...

Regarding the Argentina MPP, that had nothing to do with their attack on the UK. Definitely not in our congress's discussions on the matter. But I agree the timing is not very convenient...
If you want to know to what extent eNL is fighting for Argentina against the UK, check the actual war. And don't immediately claim we're betraying our allies...
Regarding the inconsistency pointed out by your second screenshot: even if we join an alliance we will not become mindless drones. Our independency in that respect is well maintained. But we are taking the "next step" as is also mentioned in your screenshot.
Why do we not become completely dominated by the rest of the alliance? Precisely because we do 10-25% of the total damage of the alliance (based on the division you're considering). If you calculate the weighted average it's about 15%, say 1/6 of the alliance. We will have a fair share in what we do.

I don't know your priorities, but you took a big part in egermany wars and not really the eUk ones against argentina. Why are we fighting for friends? because it's an exchange.
