Victory Interview: Our President Tonie

Day 2,759, 11:55 Published in Netherlands Slovakia by Willem The Conqueror

Dear Readers,

As most of you have noticed, Tonie got elected to the presidential office a few days ago, I asked him a few other questions on his victory on the elections, a bit late, I admit, but better late than never!

1. What do you expect from your current government?
Full participation and activity towards ensuring our goals: An independent eNetherlands that is respected both domestically and internationally and is going to take the ''next step'' to relevancy for our small nation.

2. What do you want to achieve in this term?
There are several things. First of all I'd like to break the bipartisanship that has been nagging our country for some months, for example by putting great effort in communication between the Government and Congress (and the general population). Secondly, I want to bring us on a higher level internationally by setting our allegiances in stone and working on them to our advantage.

3. Are there any key problem(s) in the eNetherlands that we need to solve immediately?
Bipartisanship and our international passivity (see 2)

4. Have you got any idea to solve (it/them)?
Working on our communication channels and looking into the possibilities of joining alliances and signing new interesting MPPs.

5. Who are our most important allies?
Our most important allies at the moment would be the nations of Nebula and Orion and their alliance as a whole. Our historic friends in the UK, USA and Belgium are equally fundamental to our nation and will be kept befriended.

6. What do you think of our current alliances?
Considering we aren't part of any active alliances at the moment, I can't comment on this question.

7. Do you think we stand a chance against the New World?
Yes, although I don't think we are ''against'' the New World. For our nation its paramount to be ''with'' the New World.

8. What are your thoughts about the current situation in the New World?
It are interesting time with changing allegiances, which will give our nation opportunities which we are so long waiting for and absolutely need to be taken.

9. Do you think the eNetherlands is supporting you?
I do think so. Despite the obvious supporters in the elections I'm doing everything in means to stay in touch with the opposition and am occasionally discussing with them about their thoughts on our nation and government.

10. What do you want to say to the people of the eNetherlands?
I'd like to thank them once again for putting their trust in me. Also, not less important, I'd like to thank them for their incredible efforts in ensuring our freedom against the Germans and hope this will set the path for support for more daring and advantageous policies.

That was it! I hope you've enjoyed this interview with our president, please vote, subscribe, shout and endorse my newspaper, that is much appreciated!
