[Stefan] Running in London (Again)

Day 1,250, 21:12 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Stefan1992

Hello London,

We have already reached the last week of April, so Congress Elections are upon us. So it is no surprise that I am running for a 24th term in the region of London.

Experience

Member of Parliament (x23)
Minister of Communications (x3)
Minister of Home Affairs (x1)
Minister of Foreign Affairs (x1)
Party President of TUP (x3)
Member of the British eRepublik Empire

Ideals

Communication is something I always stress in these manifestos. Being MoComms for three terms means I know a lot in this area. The forums and IRC are important places where you can discuss topics with other Members of Parliament. In fact, this month we created an IRC channel specifically for this. You can go to #Congress.public to meet and talk with your representatives. I aim to go onto this channel everyday as I have ever since it was created. Before some people point out that they rarely see me on IRC, I will say this is because I have been having connection problems with IRC the last few weeks. However, I believe that this should be sorted out no later than in a couple more weeks. Anyway, I hope to see you being an active citizen by using these opportunities to get in contact with me or other Members of Parliament.

I will continue to be heavily involved in legislative discussion in the House of Commons and Public Discussion areas of the eUK Forums. This includes maintaining my perfect voting record. While these tasks may seem easy enough, this is probably the primary role of a Member of Parliament. My voice is your voice, and I will do my best to make sure that your voice is heard in Parliament.

In international relations, I have become weary of our position in Terra. We have had too many restrictions placed upon us, which means we cannot do what is best for our country. Why should we sacrifice our freedom in exchange for a shady alliance. Instead we should be able to remain close to our allies such as Germany, France and Brazil, while having the ability to choose our own path. This includes choosing our Natural Enemy, Ireland and invading them. Yes, I know I am not the one pushing the button, so I can’t promise war. What I am saying is that I support an invasion of Ireland and that we should look towards becoming more diplomatically independent.

Conclusion

Here is a summary of my ideals:

Maintain strong communication with constituents.
• Get involved in legislative discussions and have a perfect voting record.
• Support the eUK in having the freedom of choosing its diplomatic path.

Thanks for your time, and I hope you will vote for me on the 25th.
