[Presidential Address] War Update

My Fellow eCanadians,

I’m addressing you tonight from deep inside a presidential bunker in an undisclosed location well behind enemy lines. As I speak to you, our forces are currently engaged in maneuvers that could severely damage our enemy’s ability to fight this war long-term. While I can not disclose the specifics of this operation at this time, I would like assure you that your government is doing everything in its power to win this war.

We have had success on the battlefield as of late and they will continue for the foreseeable future, but we need your help to continue this success. In the last two days we have taken valuable resources from our enemy, and while they will regain those resources they will come at a high cost them. In order to press on with the war we need everyone to pitch in any way they can. We need MU commanders ready to set orders and COs when necessary, we need parties to keep their people active and informed, we need citizens to stay engaged and ready to fight on a moments notice, but above all we need everyone to share in the sacrifice. We’re not asking you to give all that you have, we’re simply asking that you give all you can spare. This war has not been cheap, but our enemy is paying a higher cost in morale. We hold the momentum, and with it we have hope of continuing to push forward and reclaim what is ours. This will not happen today, tomorrow, or next week, but it will happen and when it does it will be because we came together and shared in the sacrifice and shared in the pain.

Liberty Bonds

A few days ago we began selling Liberty Bonds and I am happy to say we have quite a few people begin investing in the war effort. If you have not purchased yours yet I will share with you the details. Each Liberty Bonds will cost 100cc and for the initial offering individuals will only be able to buy a maximum of 20 bonds. These Bonds will pay 5.5% interest upon reaching maturity. Liberty Bonds reach maturity upon the cessation of hostilities between eCanada and the eUS. Only 5000 Liberty Bonds will be offered in total. Do your part, support the war effort, and make money.

Help support the war effort by supporting your government, buying Liberty Bonds, and donating to the cause. We’re all in this together, and together we will see this through until the end. It’s not going to be an easy road, but with patience, perseverance, and understanding we will see success.
