[POTEUS] Day 7: Mandatory Fun At Home and Abroad

Day 5,349, 14:39 Published in USA USA by Paul Proteus

GOOD MORNING eUSA,

It's been nearly a week so it's time to check in on everything your government has been doing for you.

So, without further ado, let's get started.

Innocents Abroad

I wish I could color coordinate like that

Last week I told you about our efforts in Venezuela, this week the action is in Korea. We're like Carmen Sandiego, all over the world, and...well that's really as far as this metaphor goes to be honest.

So let's cut to the chase: we have another important battle in a real war taking place in Gyeongsangbuk-do.

Combined with an attack we launched to cut Greece off in Gangwon-do, a victory here will effectively remove Greece from the area. The goal here for the eUS is to both remove CODE from another one of their bases but also to protect our own training wars in China and the broader region.

The White House internship for making really really good maps attracts only the best and brightest

Battles like these allow the eUnited States to protect and expand the training wars that allow our players and our allies to farm gold, and strengthen our relationship with our allies and Asterian partners.

Beyond that, given the participation we've seen, it's clear that we have not been distracted by our TWs from achieving successes in important real battles, as we've successfully coordinating both internally and externally across the map this past week. So let's keep up the good work and get it done o7

Fun, Fun, Fun

I've been thrilled to see how many members of our own eUS literary community have picked up their pens and put them to digital paper since the start of the term. The Blitz Program will be extended another week, so include [Blitz] in the title of your paper and I will send you your 50k.

Now, moving forward, I'm happy to announce a new Summer Harvest Festival. Harvest in the summer you say? That doesn't make sense you say? Too bad! We've already made graphics!

The beatings will continue until you all have more fun, got it?

Following through on my platform, we're going to have some fun. The first announcement was be made by Secretary God King of Fun Harvey Specter in his paper here.

It's a murder mystery so get those little grey cells working!

Sec. God King of Fun Harvey Specter will be introducing three events throughout the remainder of the month, each high stakes rewards, but also high stakes good times.

But for those of you who can't wait, let's get started early:

Department of Fun Summer Harvest Festival Warm Up Couplet Contest

Let's get our mandatory fun started in the comment sections below with a contest name that rolls off the tongue! How you say?

Step 1: Post a couplet in the comment section, preferably eRepublik related
Step 2: I send you 5k USD
Step 3: The one with the most votes wins 25k

In order to enjoy the sun
Post a couplet about having fun~

Meet the Press

As always, Government Media has been running full steam this week.

1. Interior Department

Make sure to check out the Interior Department Update on Social Programs where Secretary of Interior Tito Magnus gives a run down on all the programs currently available from our Interior department to help you out. Additionally keep an eye on that space as we look to introduce new programs as well.

2. WHPR

And make sure to check out the New Edition of the White House Press Release where Secretary of Media Pfenix Quinn runs down what's happening in the cabinet's offices as well as offers a nationally interesting if heretical discussion of religion. Mandatory reading.

3. eNPR

Secretary of eNPR Derphoof has made good on his promise to improve his JFK impression and put the entire eUS treasury to good use designing a fancy set for eNPR. You can catch last week's episode and prepare for this week's edition, Thursday at 10pm eastern at https://www.twitch.tv/erepenpr

That's all for now, until next time~
